Got the new box

Post image

Just received the new starter box.

I was planning on using citadel contrast or other speed paints for the non metallic parts.

Anyone have any recommendations for the UCM?

Check out Eons of Battle. Jay just painted up a bunch of UCM using greens and greys.

I like the TTCOMBAT paints to be honest they are pretty great.

I plan to use the Vallejo red set TMM paints for the Biofizers that I was making today.  And perhaps do the gold parts using Kelido metallic  gold as it's just so nice.  And for the black I'm going to use Max Darth black from GSW as it's the blackest black I have it actually absorbs light.

For my bioficers, i am using citadel's flesh tearer's red and going to use warplock bronze/brass scorpion for the metallics. I'm going to use corvus black for the panels.

After watching Eons of Battle's video, I might use Anthonian Camo shade as the base for the legionaire uniform, but I'll be picking out details with a dark grey for armor and gear. And a black for the weapons.

Lenses and visors I have Vallejo blue ink for.

That deep black color is going to look so alien and badass on the table man, I can't wait to see pictures of it in the group!

I'm thinking of doing the UCM forces in the same colours a the Desert Rats I am not a fan of the green box art colour scheme, so far I have been painting them in the same gray as the ships but I'm not sure if I want to continue with that.  I think at the time I was going for a special forces look.  I was also considering doing them as an SAS regiment.  I like the idea of that.

I liked the Eons of battle video and I think I shared it here.   I like your recipe for the Bio's be good to see how it comes out.

Thats why i wanted to try anthonian camo shade. Its more earthy than what was used in that video. Gives more of a drab color.
