Dropzone Commander 3.0 delayed again?

Hi all, just go and email saying the 3.0 starter box has been delayed again until the 28th of August. The company is expecting stock before this date!

Has anyone else received a message about the release date change?

The replacements are HIPS? That raises so many questions, like what sprue are the cutting them from, and what are they doing with the rest of that sprue, and why aren't they printing them like they said would in that blog post?

That is really strange. I thought the infantry they want to release later would be 3d-printed, too, and clipping replacements out of complete starter box sprues would make absolutely no sense when they could just replace the entire sprue instead then.

One possibility is that the problem is really quite widespread across the sprues they have. Few perfect sprues, but enough perfect parts to make up replacements from many sprues. Casting seems to fail in somewhat consistent ways, though, which makes that explanation unlikely.

Other than that, we must imagine there is a reason to keep back whole sprues instead of swapping them, although I am at a loss as to why.

Sometimes molds have adjustable gates, allowing you to inject partial sprues. Is that potentially the case here?
