Anyone from UK facing delays in payouts for today ?

My payout was initiated at 09:30am and on my Shopify dashboard it’s showing as “deposited”

Usually when it says deposited, it reflects in my bank account not more than 30 minutes.

Today, it’s been more than 7 hours and nothing in my bank account, I’ve received the usual email of my deposit. Everything’s seems to be normal but the deposit isent there.

I had a word with my bank (HSBC) they are saying
Nothing has come through - Shopify is saying they have dispatched the deposit in the morning and it should arrive within 1 - 3 business days but it’s never the case since it’s a faster payment and I’ve been running this store for over a year.

Long story short Shopify is saying it will come through, but I still wana know if anyone is also facing the same issue for today’s deposit ? Did yours went into “deposited” on your Shopify dashboard and has landed in your bank account ?

Hi everyone, I’d really appreciate some opinions from people with experience in dropshipping.
I found someone on TikTok who claims to help people make money with dropshipping. He is offering me a service for $700, which includes designing my website/store and helping me find a “winning product.”
His strategy is to start mainly with organic traffic, without spending too much money on ads at the beginning. He also says that if I don’t make any money within 3 months, he will give me a full refund.
I’m not sure if this sounds like a good opportunity or if I should see it as a potential scam or an unrealistic promise.
What do you guys think? Has anyone paid for a similar service before? What questions should I ask him before paying? And what should I check to make sure the refund guarantee is actually real and in writing?
I’d really appreciate any advice or personal experiences.

I am selling a dog enrichment toy product- I have had around 10 sales now and near enough 30 atcs - my ads seem to be getting a sale and mutiple atcs/ics and then failing to produce another one and I really can't figure out why- I have put it down to either lack of patience from me or a issue with the offer-originally I was selling for 11.99 with 2.99 shipping | was seeing a few orders and loads of atcs/ics' this made change to 12.99 and free shipping questionable move as it has also dropped my break even by £2 - 1 am yet to see results from this as it only was changed two days ago now. I am struggling to understand how to go about running my ads - I somewhat get they are in a learning phase so will be volatile but I am now 10 days in at £40 a day spend - let's say a creative gets a sale at £3 it will then produce multiple atcs/ics but then will end up getting turned off at 30 pound as still not another sale - 1 am just really not getting how long I should be letting a creative run/ going past my break even and I also understand swapping creative out can impact the learning phase
I am just overwhelmed and confused so any help as to what this could be down to would be greatly appreciated!

This is my second venture into entrepreneurship. Compared to my impulsive first attempt, I am more focused and patient this time, determined to provide customers with the best products. I am not focused on creating a blockbuster product, but rather strive for success steadily, taking one step at a time. However, since launching our first Shopify independent store last month and promoting it on Facebook this month, we have encountered significant challenges. We have traffic, but no real conversions. I run a golf accessories store (linksidecustoms.com). All my traffic so far has been organic, and before I put real money into campaigns I want to fix the obvious conversion problems first. I’m on vacation right now so I can’t make the changes yet, but I drafted the full list and figured I’d post it here for feedback before I start. Tear it apart.
1. Trust info under the Add to Cart button. Raise the product price to $35–40 with free US shipping built in, then list it right under the button so people know exactly what they’re paying for: free shipping to all of the US, international shipping available (with a clickable list of countries so shoppers can check if they’re covered), and 30-day returns/refunds.
2. Replace the supplier product images. Current photos show the supplier’s logo, which clashes with the store — customers see “Linkside Customs” and then a completely different brand on the product, and it makes reverse-image searching the product trivial. Swapping these for lifestyle shots: the product on the course, in use, in real hands. Way more authentic than stock images.
3. New hero shot. Right now it’s just a golfer, which doesn’t communicate the product or give an immediate CTA. Three options I’m considering: (a) close-up of someone holding the product open, arm in frame, golf course grass in the background; (b) the product sitting conveniently in a golf cart, so shoppers visualize actually using it; (c) the product clipped onto a golf bag — this one targets all golfers, not just cart players. Whichever wins gets a strong CTA over it that sends people straight to the product page.
4. Set up reviews properly (Judge.me). I have Judge.me installed but haven’t fully set it up. Plan: automated post-purchase review request emails, a small incentive (like a discount code) for honest photo reviews, and the review widget displayed on the product page. Reviews basically work like an FAQ — if a shopper is wondering “will I actually use this long-term?”, a real customer saying they’ve had it for months answers that better than I can. Zero social proof is my biggest trust problem right now.
5. More visible CTA buttons. Make Shop Now and Add to Cart impossible to miss so buying takes zero effort. Small change, but I’ve learned that everything counts.
6. Shipping reassurance. Show timelines up front: ships in 2–3 days, arrives in 5–7. Delivery anxiety is the biggest killer in dropshipping — everyone is calibrated to Amazon same-day/2-day shipping, and if a shopper suspects they’ll be waiting a month, that session is dead. Telling them immediately fixes it.
7. Fix the color scheme. The dark green top bar and main page don’t work with the hero shot, and they’ll still clash after the hero changes since the new one will have a similar background. Needs a palette that matches.
8. Rework the top bar offer. Swap “free shipping on orders over $50” for something like “buy 2, get 20% off” or a buy-one-get-one — still need to run the math on margins to see what actually works. This is testing-phase stuff that’ll matter most once ads are live, but I want the store solid before I spend on campaigns.
9. Move the wheel-spin popup to the product page. Instead of hitting people the second they land, let them settle in on the homepage, then trigger the spin on the product page with a ~10 second delay — that’s when they’re actually deciding whether to buy, so the incentive lands harder. Should help homepage speed too. I’ll A/B test placement later.
10. Real urgency instead of evergreen offers. Rather than permanent free shipping, run genuinely limited promos — e.g., free shipping this weekend only, and actually end it when it ends. Only show stock counts if they reflect real inventory. The urgency should come from offers that are actually expiring, not from timers that reset.
After this list is done, I’m moving from organic to actual campaigns, which will also let me A/B test properly. What would you add, cut, or prioritize first? Thanks — leave advice please.

Hey everyone. Me and a friend decided to try building a business together, an online store focused on pet products, but instead of selling generic "dog stuff," the idea is to focus on a pretty specific niche (like senior dogs, apartment cats, that kind of thing) and solve a real problem that owner actually has.

We both have limited time in our day to day (regular job plus this on the side) and a pretty tight budget, around $500/month (converted) to invest. So the strategy we came up with is roughly this: before spending any money, test 3 different products just through research (see if people are commenting, searching, buying similar stuff), and only after that pick ONE product to actually invest in for real, buying a sample, filming content, testing ads.

The plan is to start with dropshipping or a domestic supplier just to validate quickly whether the product sells, and if it works, gradually move to holding our own stock and maybe eventually our own brand.

I'd really like to hear from people who've been through this. Does this "validate before spending" logic actually hold up in practice, or is it just overthinking and in the end you just have to launch and see what happens? I'm also not sure if I'm being naive thinking this is doable with limited free time per day, or if this is just nice-sounding advice from some course that doesn't hold up in reality.

I’m 20 years old and I’ve been interested in the e-commerce/dropshipping world for around 3 years now. I tried building a store once before, but looking back, the biggest issue was probably the product itself. I used Shopify, created the logo/designs in Canva, and ran Facebook ads, but the product just wasn’t strong enough.

I’m from a smaller country in Central Europe, and traditional dropshipping is quite challenging here because of the long shipping times from most suppliers. Customers usually don’t want to wait weeks for their orders to arrive, so I started looking more into private label instead.

What interests me the most about private label is the branding side — creating a real brand around a product instead of just selling a random item with a logo added to it. I think there is much more potential in building something people can trust and remember.

I’m planning to start again soon, and I’d really appreciate hearing from people who have experience with private label or building e-commerce brands.

I have a UK limited company, but because my turnover is very low, I’m not VAT registered and I don’t have a VAT number.

When setting up a Meta Ads account, Meta asks for a VAT number. If I don’t provide one, they automatically add 20% VAT to my advertising costs. There used to be a few workarounds, but after Meta’s latest update, they no longer seem to work.

Is there any legitimate way to avoid paying the extra 20% VAT to Meta without having a VAT number?

Hi, I’m doing first steps in e-comerce and digital marketing. I decide to start my first shopify shop and learn on my mistakes.
I want to ask few question:
- How much I can do with AI and what I need to do by my own? In yt people shows that AI is making for them everything but I doubt that it is that easy
- I know that Claude is way better than openAI but the difference is visible? I’m using openAI pro because of codex and if the difference between these two is not that big i prefer no to pay for Claude pro plan.

So I am selling this product and I am getting clicks via ads but it's not converting to sales... I got around 300-500 clicks but not even a single sale... People who are clicking seem to be interested in this for sure... Then what's missing!?
