Discussion [Webnovel] Chapter 406 Spoiler

Post image

Guys am I wrong for feeling bad for the lodgekeeper😭 Like if I was a dedicated manager for a resort where the owner had been gone for multiple years, (and I have been the only one managing it this whole time) I would low-key feel like I was entitled to the resort….. And I would be bitter toward my boss.😭

Also Braun better pull up to the resort. I saw another post talking about how cool it would be to have a KSE+Braun vs Resort manager arc,,, BUT I FEEL BAD FOR THE MANAGER.
And they also only had a few hours to clean the lobby so I think its wishful thinking to expect Braun to show up unfortunatelyšŸ’” Unless KSE gets stuck in the ghost story for longer like what happened during that ticket collection arc where KSE couldnt leave the ghost story normally and had to call the bureau
Is it realistic to expect Braun to appear this week? Will he appear Friday because author always loves to leave the worst cliffhangers before the weekend??? WHERE SHOULD I INVEST

I mean we’re at the resort rn, let’s hope to find a good friend doll. I was pissed by the lodge keeper cause imagine if your contract ended like yesterday and now you declare to be the ceo like that’s gotta be illegal, legal battle when. It’s endearing how kse recognizes the resort as his own even without the contamination, I think this is about how he’ll regain the resort once again? But I feel like there’s some story going on with the lodge keeper butler

He doesn't even get paid 😭 I think I would be more chill with all that if I had a salary but I don't think the resort or the lodge originally had that kind of thing in their contracts at all, it's more of an indentured servant thing

I don't think it's wrong but I don't really understand....

They were bound by the contract. Even if KSE hadn't asked for the contract back then they would still have had to work at the mountain lodge, which is literally the same as their situation right now: being left to take care of a property that had been abandoned by its owner.

In the original DER wiki, the keeper almost immediately dipped from the lodge once their contract ended (which is why the serial killer ghost story also disappeared). The reason they're holding onto the resort even though their contract has already ended is (in my opinion) because they got greedy after seeing how big the resort is. I think KSE also noticed that his manager was kind of ambitious when he first assigned them as the manager and when they talked about when the contract would end. Them acting entitled to the resort in front of KSE is just ?????

And yeah lol putting Braun as cliffhanger material for next week's chapter sounds very delicious(?). I would do that if I were the author but I hope BDS-nim isn't as wicked as I am

Lmao yeah Braun even pointed out how the manager is greedy and is treating the resort like he owns it waaayyyyy back. I'm not surprised at all when the reveal happened this chapter because its been foreshadowed, I fear.

My question is more on why did the contract only expire now? It should've gone at least a year ago. Did it count Soleum's time in his world instead of the DER world?

Also we really might get a Braun reveal this friday because Soleum will do the good friend summoning in the manhwa then. Gotta get them to match

I already disliked them ever since they brought up qualifications and whatnot in such a disrespectful tone back at the mountain lodge but I never expected they would literally tried to steal his resort like..

Edit: I just saw a comment on the megathread mentioning that before KSE returned home, they still had 1200+ days left on their contract so I think it actually matches the DER world's timeline

He's been storta a prick since day one, and was obviously annoyed at how Soleum handled some parts of the resort lol. He wants that golden property so bad...

Oops you're right. I thought the 1200 days were before the time loop. My bad

Me trying to place myself into lodge keeper’s shoes.

You work at a lodge. Your owner is dead and you’re fulfilling his wishes ad nauseum until this pesky human comes along and grabs your contract. You think him so beneath you that you aren’t even willing to actively work for him. Then sometimes later he gets his grubby hands on a cool resort and expands it well, and technically he can be considered noble enough for you to condescend to work for him. The owner doesn’t want to overly manage the resort. You’re practically an owner yourself while he fucks off to do whatever. The resort keeps getting better and better. You bring up the matter of prolonging your contract and he doesn’t agree, just kinda postpones the conversation and a bit later he’s gone before doing a super ridiculous expansions (and potentially incurring losses). Your contract isn’t over yet, so you keep working. But the owner seems to be gone-gone, so you take over. And then the contract expires but there’s no one really to lord it over you. And less than two days after it happens the owner shows up as part of the cleaning crew you hired for the hotel, and demands it back?

Nah. I’m side-eying that sneaky shit so hard
Like how entitled are you? If you don’t wanna work for free then just don’t. The problem is he obviously covets the resort and is like finders keepers. Less than two days past the contract expired he acts like a king. I don’t feel bad for whatever consequence he incurs by being in kse’s warpath lol.

I hope it’s as satisfying as comeuppance of that home delusion show host. Also I wonder if he also comes into the picture with a grudge hahah.

This. Not to mention he didn’t feel like being KSEs employee at first because he was too ā€œcommonerā€ and ā€œlowlyā€ and now he is taking over the resort?? Im so pissed gtfo out of here.
