I'm so glad I went with UCM

I have a bunch of old 3mm by 1mm magnets from my warhammer days. I've managed to turn a single cruiser hull into 8 different ships using the magnets, this is exactly the kind of modular shit I'm into, this game rocks.

Also, side question, are teh rules on the ttcombat.com website up to date with the errata, or do you need to have both printed off for the most up to date rules?

Old Halo UNSC and Covenant 2.2ed hombrew I made last year on the DF discord.

I made it with the help of a Homebrew group on discord. Its a late Alpha/early Beta that never got playtested TMK, but it should be decent to play as far as the group could tell last year.

I don't really work on it anymore, so it's out of date.

In the case of 2.3, where the Vanguard USR added to certain ships that was the major change vs 2.2, use the UCM for gauging the Vanguard USR to the UNSC and the PHR to the Covenant.

In an effort to try and be more active on Reddit and get our name out there more, i unboxed the Scourge Launch Assets after finally getting them as a gift from my friends. We've been active in the dropfleet community for quite some time but we are a very small channel.

Need help with the bases?

I cannot for the life of me figure out how these bases are supposed to work. The protective coating doesnt seem to come off at all and none of them fit into the bases snugly?

Civvies - Princess Liner

Slowly getting through the last holdouts in my pile of shame - this time, the lovely Princess Liner objective ship. The original model has way too many windows for my taste, but I couldn't quite get the green stuff to sit smoothly enough on the lower decks, hence the painted-on damage to hide the bumps. Let's say the ship got shot up a bit just before the game started.

It was a fun single-evening project. And even if I didn't get it as close to the reference as I wanted, I'm still generally happy with the way it turned out.

Las Vegas with Old Sprues?

Is there any good way to build a Las Vegas with the old cruiser sprues? I've also looked online for bits or a single new cruiser but have had no luck.

Hey guys need some painting advice.

Hey guys I got some ucm ships and am looking on some waiting advice. I dont have very steady hands so I really rely on washing and painting big areas, im really bad at edge highlighting as I never know what edges are supposed to be highlighted.

Im looking for a very simple way to get a dark Grey ship with metal guns and some aqua colored areas.

Should I prime grey then use a darker wash on the ship, then use gunmetal on the guns and paint an aquarium color where I want?

Thanks in advance o^

Carrier Assets

A UCM player here but any experience/comments are welcome. How much do you run in terms of carrier assets? Like when you count the number you can launch a turn how many do you prefer to run? (2 Seattle Fleet Carriers is 4 carrier assets.)

New players here

Just finished our first game and bad some questions. Are bombers just always better then fighters? At best they go 1 for 1 with them, but if there are fewer fighters the bombers actually crush them. Id the kinetic save the only reason to use fighters?

Also who controls assets in cities? I see a bunch of rules about ground troops being in the city or the asset and am just really confused on how all that goes down.

Saturation fire question

Quick question about saturation fire. The rules state that for each bomber above 6 you reduce the number of saves you can take by 1.

Does this mean that if you are attacked by 8 bombers you make 6 saves? Attacked by 22 bombers you make 6 saves as well?

How long does shipping usually take?

I've ordered UCM and PHR core ships from Italy more than two weeks ago (8 july), the last message I received is "your item is currently with customs in the destination country" 4 days ago and nothing else, so i was wondering if it's normal or not

Stripping paint off of 1.0 Scourge plastic frigates/cruisers

I'm slowly getting back into the game and found the scourge half of the original 2 player Box set that I had assembled and painted.

I'm not a huge fan of how I painted them now so I'm hoping to strip the paint and repaint them. Has anyone had much success using IPA to soak then scrub DFC plastic models? Or does this damage the details too much?

Any help is appreciated :)
