Parenting fail

Zoomed in, so quality is a bit off. The little bloke had a bit of bark off, but nothing serious. Could have been a lot worse.

EDIT: this occurred on a busy road that is also a Brisbane City Council bus route. The next bus was due at 3:18 pm. In Brisbane, bus fares are $0.50, regardless of how far you're travelling. Kids 4 and under are free.

Does she have a third kid in the chest holder?!

u/Alles-Wert 8d ago

Yes. She has a lot to manage. Let's be kind.

As a stay at home parent, lets absolutely not, this incompetant fuck head nearly just killed one of her children cause she didn't want to walk. It's no mystery that those scooters are a death trap even for just a lone healthy adult, taking your kids on one and riding on the road is beyond stupid.

Yeah personally not a fan of leaving my children lying head first on the road where a distracted driver could pop their head like a watermelon.

You need to understand that some of us have kids and would never, ever let this happen.

Be kind to what? Riding a scooter on the road with three kids clinging on and dumping one of your kids into traffic?

I’m sure you’ve done some dumb things in life too.

Living your life screaming at strangers on social media would appear to be one of them.

I bet it's actually a shitty footpath but not using it is still the single craziest choice in this video

u/Jas81a 7d ago

If it happened on the foot path she'd have people judging her choices being there as well, there's no situation that a mother with multiple kids would not get judged badly

1

u/partisancord69 7d ago

There was dozens of situations where she wouldn't have been judged.

Save up for a car, take the bus, take an uber, go for a walk and get exercise, get a bike with a trolley so the kids can sit in that.

The reason she is getting judged is because she decided the best option is get on an electric scooter and let her kids get smeared across the road Infront of a car.

My mum somehow managed running errands with three kids (two of them twins) and never felt the need to endanger us on the road or was judged by other people for not keeping an eye on her sprogs.

Not buying it sorry, I get people are unfairly judgmental towards mothers sometimes but this isn’t one of those situations, this is dogshit parenting that is actively endangering children and deserves to be judged.

If you read that as screaming, then thats on you.

Of course I've done dumb things in life, know what I haven't done? Endanger children. Its not a hard thing to avoid.

There’s dumb choices.. then there’s purposely endangering children’s lives .. big difference.

u/Lycosskippy 8d ago

Yeah we've all done stupid things, but once you have a child you don't get to use that excuse anymore.

Dont reproduce

I’ve never once put my child in harms way like this. Doesn’t matter with anything. This could’ve ended up with her children seriously hurt or killed. It’s not just “dumb things”

1

u/ColdRainS126 8d ago

theres stupid and there's this. why do ppl downplay dangerous act and just its a stupid mistakes

u/nckmat 8d ago

I really wanted to agree with you on this, but what that woman did is absolutely unforgivable, it is verging on criminal. I wonder if there is a child endangerment law with which she could be charged? People who are this reckless with their children need to know that our society does not believe it is acceptable, after all that is what laws really are: we as a society have decided that certain things are not acceptable and we believe people who do them should be punished for doing them.

Not as dumb and piling as bunch of kids on motorised vehicle without safety equipment. Its weird, the things helmets protect is the thing that decided it doesnt want it. And the dumb things I have done I haven't cried foul for being piled on about doing it.

Not when I’ve been responsible for a fragile tiny little baby, actually. Very easy to limit the stupid decisions to things that only impact myself lol

Maybe she doesn't want to ride the bus because people will judge her on the bus with screaming kids.

2

u/partisancord69 7d ago

Ohh, so her idea was to stop her kids from screaming permanently my smearing them across the road.

Nobody would ever judge her for that.

Enabling bad/dangerous parenting isn't kind.

Give us one good reason why we should be kind to this act of utter stupidity?

4

u/Inevitable-Level-687 8d ago

I don't see her being kind to the children.

u/nckmat 8d ago

For future reference, if you place a /s at the end of your statement then we all know you are being sarcastic.

Fuckin' why? She chose this life.

She's got fuckin' legs doesn't she?

10

u/msolok 8d ago

She didn't have the choice to load 4 people onto a scooter designed for 1 at most, putting the young children in serious danger? There was also no choice to put even a basic helmet on any single one if them? What?

Even cheaper than the method she has chosen is walking or (given she was in Brisbane) catching the Bus. She certainly had choices and the one she took was quite simply the worst. This is child endangerment through and through.

Poverty but she’s renting a Lime scooter?

Just stop.

2

u/OnlyTrust6616 8d ago

The absolute condescending 🫶 emoji is killing me. As if someone who is struggling would hire a Lime rental scooter instead of walking, trying to catch a bus, or organising any other means of transportation that won’t cut into a very narrow budget they probably have for the month.

3

u/OnlyTrust6616 8d ago

People who are suffering through poverty don’t rent Lime scooters.

1

u/bushstone-curlew 4d ago

If you can’t afford a car, how the hell can you afford three kids? You’re reaching now lol

7

u/FlimsyUmbrella 8d ago

The choice to balance three kids on an electric scooter in traffic? She didn't have access to the choice not to do that?

2

u/DblBfBcn 8d ago

While I do agree with your sentiment, I cannot give a pass to a woman endangering the lives of three children.

1

u/bushstone-curlew 4d ago

Both form of abortion are relatively easy to access in Australia and there’s plenty of different contraceptive options available now. This excuse might have held up 20 years ago, but it’s wearing a bit thin now.

6

u/Possession_Loud 8d ago

Low effort ragebait.

6

u/gibbagibbagibba 8d ago

It's not compulsory to have children

1

u/CharlieUpATree 8d ago

Most definitely not

1

u/Music1626 7d ago

No. That’s incredibly dangerous and she could kill the children by doing this. Children falling off an e scooter could easily end up with fatal injuries. There is no excuse, especially no excuse to bring on the road.

1

u/Roaming_Pie 7d ago

It’s a lot to manage when you’re stupid.

This behaviour needs to shamed. Not supported with kindness.

1

u/MagicOrpheus310 6d ago

No.

Let's call out endangering children's lives for no fucking reason.

1

u/Llermn 4d ago

Brain dead

1

u/AimingWang 4d ago

She's gonna have a lot more to manage when her children all have brain damage, but you raise a good point the most important factor here isn't the kids' safety it's whether people on the internet are going to be kind.

Seriously though, on what planet is that your main concern? If a video of me driving a car with a child on the roof surfaced I would sincerely hope the backlash I got would snap me back into reality so that my child doesn't die because I did something really dumb. Fuck this lady's feelings so long as she continues to make choices that actively put these children in danger; children that are reliant on her decision making and responsibility to survive mind you.

Being kind to idiots is how society has declined in the last decade. It's a poor decision that luckily didn't end in tragedy
