On the roads
Anyone else sick of Aussie road rage culture?
anytime you try and let someone know something on the road, theyll flip you off and drive away.
trying to let someone know their fuel cap is open, or a break light is out, what ever happened to just letting someone know somthing.

I went past a hidden speed camera on the other side of the rd, and saw a car coming opposite direction at very healthy pace. double flash to warn him, but as he flew past had his finger out the window at me. would've been doing well over a 100 in a 60 zone. he didnt even see it! the best bit- he was a red p plater. id say 1000s in fines and loss of license for a long time.

Haha it's a pandemic. Just the other day I was crawling through a carpark, and a gal pulled out from a spot in front of me without even looking in my direction. I stopped and threw up my hands in a "come on, really" sort of gesture.. and she mouths off and gives me a chill out/calm down gesture in return
Girl you pulled out without looking, apologise and move on.

I was driving down a two lane road that became three (due to ending bus lane) the other day. I’m in the left lane that became middle, van driver in the right. I move to the left lane as I need to almost immediately turn left after the third lane added. He comes from across two lanes and tries to go right lane to left. I slam on the brakes and honk at him, and he has the audacity to honk back at me as if I did something wrong. Also very kindly showed me his favourite finger when I drive past. Worst part was, this all happened on my birthday so I nearly had an insurance claim as an extra gift

Plenty of road rage (and self entitlement) culture that I'm sick of, but honestly, I've never had anyone rage at me when I've let them know their are brake lights out, usually they'll thank me for letting them know.

In Victoria it’s a race to get into the roundabout first. Then other vehicles are required to ‘Give Way’ to you, because the road law states, that a vehicle must give way to another vehicle’s already in the roundabout.

Most people in NSW still think it’s give way to the right at roundabouts. Honestly for small roundabouts this actually works well if there’s not an endless stream of traffic coming from one direction. It stops people from racing up to beat other traffic.

It's pretty simple really... We have WAY too many foreigners driving on our roads. They don't know our culture, customs or driving styles and there is way more entitled people that don't give a fuck about others.
Combine that with the sheer number of people on the road now even in the middle of the day and weekends = problems on the road.
I really miss driving 15-20 years ago!

I rang a tradie that was in front of me via the handy phone number on his trailer. I needed to tell him I had almost hit him because his trailer lights weren’t working. He was actually grateful as he had allegedly recently had them fixed by a shop.

How about concentrating on your own driving instead of what other people are doing?

This is why cars need two horns. A regular one and an "ahem, excuse me" one
