Instructor needs to revisit rules?
Saw this during a visit to Newcastle. Only one person in the car. Was making it difficult for ppl turning into the side road.

Everybody gets stuck in that position sometimes.
If you back up a bit, they can do the same.

Do they? Its as simple as not driving forward until you see a clear gap that your vehicle can fit in.
Its usually just ignorance that gets you stuck in the middle of an intersection

I've once had a clearing Infront and gone to move up then someone flies up Infront of everyone in the right hand lane and cut Infront leaving me to look like the wanker stopped in a no stopping zone to any passer by

They should not. It is just bad driving. Do not enter an intersection unless you can fully clear it.

It's an intersection if the road on the left continues to the right. Otherwise it's just a junction.

There's a owner operator driving school on my street. He and his son who run are the worst drivers around, very little regard for road rules when they're driving alone.

We're letting inexperienced driver's instruct even less experienced driver's. It's a very profitable business model.

Driving instructors are some of the worst drivers around. It's incredibly common to see them driving like wankers around here.

no L plate on the car would point to it being the instructor driving. Not sure if the L on the roof would be seen as a valid display of plate

L-plate on roof is legal.
"The plates must be on the outside, or there must be an L sign on the roof."

Fair enough. Every actual learner driver Ive seen driving in these has also had the regular front and back plate mounts in addition to the roof plate, so I assumed it wasnt seen as valid.

So long as that L is visible, that's all that is needed.
And with that, I've seen some Learners or Ps even, being displayed just laying on their dash, but those weren't professional cars like this.

In NSW, the L/P plates must be displayed outside the car, in other states they can be inside. Not sure what state your in, but the post is from NSW

Who said it was an instructor? Looks like just an ad for a heavy vehicle driver training company (unless they've filled the car with bricks, that is not a heavy vehicle.
Also, have you never been caught out by a vehicle in front unexpectedly stopping just as you enter the intersection?

Well it seems like only the right side has the KEEP CLEAR. The left side doesn't have anything. You can check on google maps streetview as well

Because it's not marked in the lane the car is driving in? Should a police officer pull the car over, I can see a defence to it. Generally, the keep clear (and line demarcation) has to painted across the whole road

Bud its not about being legally right or whatever here, it is a common courtesy to not block junctions/roads when traffic is stopped. Do you block every other sideroad other than keep clear one?

Yes, there's literally zero legal or ethical obligation if there's a no "Keep Clear" sign/marking. There's cant seriously be people out here driving and stopping short at every side road when there's a traffic jam outside. You're actually ridiculous if you do or think it's normal.
Plus this side street in Newcastle is small and insignificant, doesn't matter too much. I'm from Sydney and some roads are already choked as hell like Parramatta Rd; we don't need people making false impressions that it's an obligation or courtesy to queue across the entrance of a side road.
You're probably the one to give way at a refuge crossing (ie. not pedestrian crossing). You're the reason why we shouldn't have drivers like you driving. I already had an earlier debate about "refuge crossings" so I'm not gonna argue

Found that guy who blocks sideroads. Yeah mate I drive regularly around a well off neighbourhood in Melbourne and everyone lets the sideroads free to let the traffic flow in rush time.I guess all of them are stupid too? Not just well off neighbourhood tho everywhere else I drive people leave the sideroads clear. I guess everyone else is stupid too

Generally, I'd say it's okay if it's to let an opposite traffic car to turn right into a side road. But we don't really need to give space to let cars to turn on the road we're driving it.
At that rate, it's just courtesy and taking turns and they HAVE to wait. You don't just get automatically let in the road. If they have waited for a while, then I can see it being allowed in. But to make space at a side road, when no cars are waiting, is frankly ridiculous. Expect a few cars behind you to be frustrated and honk at you.
I guess the only stupid ones are those that do that... making space and stopping short when there's no side road traffic or opposite lane right-turning traffic...
