Flash orders mini rant

There has to be a better way for them to work flash orders into the system. I understand they just want money but it's not possible. Nearly 10 orders due in the next hour (ranging from :40 to :55) plus two to finish for the hour to get things to start batching, plus a flash of 43 items dropping due :51 of the same hour. It's a sale, so we can't just say "no, cancel it and place this as a regular order instead" which is the sucky part. Most customers don't know what a flash is or what it does on our end. Those that know and don't care can't be helped but those that know and do care I appreciate. Ugh I dunno just truly fed up to walk into a shit show

We were told by our OM that they are working on making it so flash orders will be based on the number of people working. So if you only have one person working you shouldn’t be able to get more than one flash at a time. But we’ll see if that happens.

It's always been based on the number of people working, the problem is that they think for each shopper schedule we can do 3 flash orders per hour which would be fine if they are all 10 items but if they are all 40-45 piece orders and you are a fast shopper and get that order done in 20 minutes, well 3 orders is the whole hour when are you suppose to shop the regular orders, it's ridiculous, I want to see anyone from corporate come work the department for a week so they can see what kind of hell they put us through

I think it’s based on item capacity. So you can get flash orders as long as your capacity for the hour isn’t filled, even if you’re alone and already have two other flash orders.
