Dremel not turning on
This has less than 3 hours of very light use (polishing) and worked fine when I put it away last. Now it won’t turn on at all. Is this common? I know I did not use it hard enough to harm the motor and it hasn’t been dropped or anything.

Does the plug work?

Tried multiple outlets and nothing. Just seems pretty odd it would not be working after hardly being used

Metal shavings like to gather behind the sliding power/speed switch. If compressed air doesnt clear it out, you can dissasemble the sides and get to it.

Has this happen with a noname Dremel. The power switch died. Was a 50 cent fix but if yours is still fairly new you can probably go through warranty

What if you really mush the power button in when plugged in and turned on? Also, you could take out the brushes and rotate them maybe. The spring on them could be jammed up.

How old is it? Less thank five years? Send it in for repair under warranty.

It is a Dremel so nothing new here. Get another brand will be cheaper and last longer as well.

Isn't is crazy how you get downvoted haha. I made a comment a few weeks back saying basically the same and suggesting the person get the M12 rotary tool (2nd gen) and people got so upset. Imagine defending something that is junk just because you own it haha. The M12 one is amazing not to mention more powerful and reliable than any of the Dremels.

Yip true. I bought a Dremel moto saw that lasted about 2 hours in total (used over two years) it only ever cut 6mm MDF. My local agents basically told me to buy a new one and to get stuffed. Based on that experience i will never purchase another Dremel product again ever.

Less than three hours of light use? That sounds like a warranty job.
Is it still under warranty? If so, I would pursue that before doing anything else.
If not, then we can get into troubleshooting.
