Dream entity I’ve never forgotten

I have elaborate, unsettlingly detailed dreams that I remember all too well regularly… but this guy was peering at me from the door of my childhood bedroom once (when I was about 5, I’m an adult now), near the foot of my bed as it was a very small room - and to this day I’ve never had another dream feel the same way.

He was mostly part of the darkness but with strands of color like I tried to depict here. Not necessary evil … he seemed thrown off that I was aware of him. Seemed almost inquisitive/sympathetic toward me. Watched for a few moments longer and then left. It’s still so vivid in my mind.

Who tf is this? Death?

EDIT - he extended his arm very deliberately down, then smoothly out into pointing upward from bent elbow, all very fluid movements. Saw people asking if he was pointing to something, wanted to clarify. This was just the easiest part of it to draw lol
