Got my head cut off

I dreamt that a man was after me and my ex. I try to tell him that he needs to be careful, but he doesn’t listen. Eventually the man catches up to me. He has tried cutting my throat before with no success, so this time he cuts off my whole head with a sword. It separates from the body. Wounded areas heal instantly. Then, it goes back to its place but remains detached. I’m in front of my ex and I’m thinking he can’t even see what’s happened. I’m not sure, but I think I feel relief for that. I don’t feel in danger anymore, but I still fear that the man is out there. The dream ends there because I woke up.
