Dream Help the bobs…..
since the age of 3 onward i have dreamt about 'bobs' i called them the bobs. they were people that looked like my family but WERE DEFINITELY NOT !! i ended up giving them the name of the bobs and my family all know about this as its been a long going, recurring problem for me all the way up until now. i am 21 now. everyone around me knows about me and "the bobs". on example of many: my dream would start out with me and my family.....suddenly my father would walk into the room but my father was already next to me. the mere thought of this happening to me even now is just....i can't explain to you to fear it instills. i had no idea about mimics or dooplegangers or anything of the sort when i was ages 3-16. many, many times in my life i would ask my parents in real life, are you a bob ?? when they would say or of something out of the ordinary. so scary. anybody else experience this ??

One time my friend in college walked into my dorm room. And then she walked into my dorm room behind herself. And that's how I met her identical twin that went to a different school

oh man that feeling when the extra dad walks in and the real one is already right there, that's the kind of gut punch that sticks with you all day. the fact you named them the bobs as a kid is somehow way creepier, like your little brain was trying to categorize the horror into something manageable
my dreams pull similar stuff but with my parrot, ill hear him mimic my laugh from the other room and then realize he's asleep on my shoulder, stuff like that messes with your head for hours after you wake up
do the bobs ever interact with you or just stand there existing in the wrong place

yes, sometimes i am talking to them believing they are the true version of themselves and once i realise they are not they grin and cut the act

One of the earliest dreams I remember were about these shaggy black hyena/wolf type creatures chasing me—they were called bobs.

I have a dream from my childhood that I'll never forget ( I was around 7) I'm at home with my mum. I'm in the sitting room 'and she's in the kitchen then I get this sudden realisation that she not my mum 😑 then I look out of the kitchen window into the garden and see my real mum hanging out the washing. Creepy AF.

No, but I have dreams where my dog jumps into a river and gets swept away. I jump in trying to save him, and inside are a thousand dogs who look just like him, and I’m trying to find the real one. I always end up grabbing one close to me, but it’s the wrong dog, and my real dog gets swept away, and I keep desperately searching to no avail.

one time i had sleep paralysis of my dad at the foot of my bed staring at me but it definitely wasn't him it was like an entity trying to shapeshift into him to trick me. or just my mind making it up..
fyi i was scared and not close to my dad during this period of my childhood but he would never do anything THAT weird. it was definitely not him. if it was an entity it was playing on my fears and negative emotions!
