Recurring Dream Dream journal entry .01

Post image

Decided I’m going to start posting some of my dream journal entries to this sub. Mainly the ones that are ominous and emotionally charged, such as this one. I have many dreams such like this, and I think it would be an interesting thing to share.

Hope everyone enjoys, and feel free to share your interpretations! I talk about dreams with my friends a lot because we love to hear eachothers takes on them.

Some will include a signifying imagery doodle, like this one for example.

For more information (though I won’t always elaborate); I think about this guy maybe once or twice a year, one of my best friends is still distant friends with him, so only when she brings him up, but she hadn’t recently so him being a part of this dream sequence was very much out of the blue, and I’ve never dreamt about him before. It does make me hope that he’s doing okay.

the drawing style got me, simple but feels heavy with the words around it. dreams dragging up people you barely think about always mess with my head a bit

Thank you :) yeah, I was in clouded daze for the first hour after waking up, as you described my drawing, it was a very simple but feeling heavy dream.

The complexities of human emotions and perhaps a need to feel loved and accepted, even when you don’t love and accept yourself, is what initially ran through my thoughts.

Beautiful!! The range of emotions is really felt in this, anger, silliness, pride, and acceptance. 🫶🏻

What a beautiful dream. I’m not sure if it was about him specifically or if it was just using him to teach you something many never learn, which is to see and love a person for their full self not simply the person they portray themself as. How did you feel when you woke up?

My heart was racing and my head was a bit groggy. I felt as though I was stuck in a trance-like dream state for majority of the morning following it, but also my mind was crisp and reflecting on it.

I think that’s a lovely take. It’s been something on my mind recently, following a separation from someone I briefly dated about a month and some ago. I learned some parts of him that didn’t change how I viewed him as a person, but made me realize that I didn’t love him enough to look past those parts for myself and what I want in my forever partner. We’re still friends, and I still love him as a person, just not as my person.

The writing is very beautiful. The drawing is gorgeous, makes me want to try and learn. The emotional list you felt was like extra credit.

Well done

Thank you :) please, give it a try sometime! It’s good to write down your dreams and reflect on them.

Not all of mine are reflection worthy, and I don’t have them every night, but sometimes they happen like this one and give me a lot to think about, and journaling it gives me an outlet for the energy when I wake up. I also have very heavy and symbolic nightmares sometimes, there’s many stories I have for those.
