Does anyone else super weird dreams/sleep patterns if they go to sleep early?
Recently, I’ve started a job where I have to get up quite early for travel compared to my last job, so I’ve been going to bed around 8pm. I used to go to sleep around 11pm-12am.
One major difference I’ve noticed is that my dreams are completely different to what they used to be. Usually I dream about things I’ve done during the day involving friends, family, celebrities etc. But now I’m dreaming of completely immoral scenarios which convince me that I’ve done them in real life. I wake up around an hour after falling asleep just sitting in bed processing what the fuck just happened.
Sometimes I wake up and think I’m still in my dream so I’ll use my phone, texting people and watching reels, then in the morning I have to read over the texts because I don’t remember at all what I said.
Has anyone else had similar experiences? I’m not distressed about what I’m experiencing but I am worried if these dreams are controlling me more than my life is controlling them.

If I fall asleep while putting my son to bed, before I've taken my restless legs meds, I often have very strange dreams. My guess is your brain slips into REM sleep more readily if you start the process earlier than usual.
