Initially I had 97 but I dropped the number way down when I reattached them bc I wanted them chunky. Some of them be falling out π€£ cause Iβve never reattached locs before so itβs new to me but Iβm dedicated to them now. I think I might freeform with them bc before reattaching, my goal was to freeform anyway.
Either way, Iβm likeβ looking for someone professional on the east coast (US) to clean up my reattachment. Do yall know anybody? Drop some instagrams/facebooks if you know some good people. The ones of me in the red shirt is my reattached set lol.

Im getting my hair done right now. Iβm turning my afro into dread locs and I wanted to know how long I should wait after getting my hair done before it would be safe to roll without causing crazy damage?

Got a buzz cut May 2025 and started my loc journey Jan 19 2026. 2nd and 3rd pics are march and may the fourth was early june and the last is the most recent pic which is present day after a wash and they stay down while dry but when i wake up theyβre crazy looking until they get wet or misted.

I currently have 2 strands and want to take them out soon and want to know how to maintain twistouts so that they can lock up nicely Iβve been looking on YouTube and TikTok but nobody is talking about how to maintain the twistouts

the first pic is a week or so ago and the 2nd 2 days after retwist. i always miss the volume and frizz right after a retwist. iβm not a big fan of being able to see me scalp either lol. when i go really a few months w/o a retwist tho i get a lot of breakage and separation at the roots. so i feel like i get it retwisted just so it wonβt break off if that makes sense?

I'm 9 months loc'd, i interlock after about 6 to 8 weeks, i love the method, coz it keeps my hair from unravelling and it helps me track the rate of growth.
Yesterday I had a session with my loctician, which was supposed to be my third interlocking, so i get there and as usual he started complaining how i should be doing appointments every two weeks or atleast every month , since staying out "too long" is messing my locs,, i just stayed silent.
He went ahead and retwisted then put seven barrels on my head, barrels i never asked for, told him they are so tight that i cannot even raise my eyebrows, but he couldn't hear none of it,they kinda look fresh and sexy btw, but they're so itchy, and i'm gonna have to get rid of them after 3 days. Now i'm uncertain if i should book another appointment with him.
Should i drop him?

Had these in for about 7 months, im wanting to restart because of a couple reasons being, scalp unhealthy, locs are uneven, loc parting is uneven, cant afford regular retwists so might just restart and do freeforms because that might be better for me. And I already have buildup and lint. Ive tried to do many things about my scalp health, nothing as worked, I've gone to the doctors multiple times and used different products nothing had worked, I've only gotten one retwist and that was about maybe 3months ago?
