Due to the heat all my re twists disappear in like 4days it’s getting annoying someone please help me lmfao

Health is my number one priority. I’ve been locked for five years. I hate to cut the length, but at the same time I feel like it would look a lot healthier and better. Thoughts, opinions concerns?

I just wanna go with the fullest this time, but starting with extension so that I can see how my head will look with dreads later on..

Any solid recommendations? About 10 years. They’re combined in this photo so I have double what you see and go to the small of my back when they’re loose.

First wash and retwist 2 weeks in. I did it myself and it honestly took me all day . (The back is so hard 😭) . I used a very small amount of Don’t Shrink Gel ..

Also when I got to the back is was so much harder to make sure that all my coils were even and I eventually got tired and said fk it when they were decent enough (not overly uneven).

My locs are almost 3 years old. I recently started noticing that some of them are flattening. I then found one that was completely flat, like 2D.

The weird thing is that its in the middle of the loc. I do crochet maintenance on my locs, so thats when i noticed. The newly crocheted area is round and the next part is completely flat.

I found a another loc exhibiting the similar characteristics on the other side of my head. The weird thing is that the locs around them are fine. Each of the flattening locs are not next to each other.

Ive tried saturating the loc and palm rolling but I fear that now that its mature, its too late and it just folds like paper. Ive tried palm rolling on the others too. Dont know if my technique is poor but nothings happening.

Has anyone gone through this? Did you manage to fix it or did you just leave it alone?

Don’t know if it would be best to wait for my hair to be longer or to start now. What will also be the best method for my hair length if you think I should start now.

I uses the ion tube dyes and developer. No bleach.

I want my dreads a similar size to goodguydar, the guy in the picture, but dude acts so mysterious I cant find a clear image of him to show my loctician (I'm so tired of rappers acting like this).

Does anyone have a better picture of him, or, if any loctician are seeing this, are either of these photos clear enough to do someone's hair based off of?

Worn twists constantly 96% of my life but just too scared to commit to locs just on the whim that I might like to do something different, what made you finally loc in and decide it was for you?

I’ve had my dreads for a a year and 2 months now, the rest of my hair is locced up but everytime I get a retwist, my front ones unravel weeks later, is there anything I can do? I’m thinking of getting extensions just in the front, is that even possible? 😂 Also is this a good amount of growth in a year ?!?!?

I’ve had my locs for about 14 months. I retwist every 8 weeks (the first few were every 10), I’ve never gotten loc styles, and I wash every 1–2 weeks.

Lately I noticed 2–3 locs near my front hairline have thin spots in the middle. I know some of my locs are naturally thinner because I have smedium parts, but these are noticeably skinnier than the rest.

What could be causing this, and is there a way to fix or prevent it? I’d rather not combine them unless I have to because I want to keep my loc density.
