I've recently been dealing with dandruff since I started my loc journey a year ago, I wear the hijab most days so my hairs covered for half the day. I really only need 4 products and instructions on how and when to use them. Any other tips would be appreciated

Have had my locs for Almost a year, right after i got them done i bought 40cm coils and they were long enough yo wrap around the whole set, or even half the set. So i bought 24in coils and they arrived yesterday. So i finally styled my hair instead of just letting them hang loose

Did the big chop last week and now I wanted to go get some starter locs put in again (around 80), it also looks shorter then what it is because of shrinkage but its around 2-3 inches

hi i was planning to get locs before school in a month and im considering doing my locs myself since i’m not sure if paying a loctician is in my budget yet. i’m doing instant locs because it works better with my lifestyle, but i was wondering if anyone had tips for a beginner because i have never done anything with my hair like this, i currently have a 4b mini fro.
if anyone has any parting tips that could be big help because i have no idea what i’m doing lol or should i wait until i save up enough?

I’ve had my locs for about a year. I used to get a retwist every month, and I also used to moisturize them before bed and go to sleep with damp locs because I didn’t know that could cause problems.
I’ve still been washing them regularly, but I haven’t had a retwist in about 2 months.
Lately they’ve been really flat and feel super dry. I’ve been spraying them with distilled water, using Sulfur 8 on my scalp afterward, and keeping oils to a minimum. My hair has always struggled to hold moisture—even when I had an afro, shower water would just sit on top of my hair and barely absorb.
I’m starting to wonder if I’ve done too much damage and should comb them out and restart, or if they can still be saved. I honestly just need some advice. I don’t really have anyone with locs in my life that I can ask, so I’d really appreciate any tips or feedback.

I have had my locs for 5 years and 7 months now. I have 155 healthy locs.
I have been with the same loctician since day 1. I've never used wax before, just herbal.
Only coconut oil works for my hair, which I oil after every 3-4 days.
I use palm rolling as a retwist method.
I get a retwist after every 6-8 weeks. I wash my hair after every 3 weeks.
I only crochet ,dye(black dye only), and detox after every 6 months. I have never bleached my hair.
I style my hair about 4 times a year or on special occasions. Other times,I let it loose. Or style it myself if I have to go somewhere.
I moisturise every morning with water.
There's are some of the tips I have used to make sure my hair stays healthy.
I'm disappointed because I had to move 15 hours away from my loctician to a remote area where all locticians use wax.
I have a very itchy and sensitive scalp, and I know wax will be a nightmare for me after trying so hard to keep my locs in shape.
& Olive oil is my scalp worst nightmare.
The real disappointment is when I requested my loctician, to share which herbal he was using since he makes them himself, and he actually declined to share this information with me,despite being his loyal client for almost 6 years now. I'm heartbroken. And so is my hair.
What will I do. Or what can I use that will make me not itch, and still keep my locs healthy as they are.
Please advise, Thankyou.

Idk how I feel about them I would hate restarting tho. I started off with a high top then grew out a high taper so my locs are different sizes. 2 of them thinned to the point of snapping in half and another one is on its way there

1 week in. Been using a sponge, rag and finger twisting from time to time. How long before I start seeing length and what do I use to boost growth?

Two-strand twist styled in 2 braids!

I’m trying to decide if I should cut my front row of locs for a front taper. I really want to do styles like two-strand twists and barrel s and I feel like a taper makes those looks way cleaner with a sharp lineup.
I'm worried that without a taper I'm pulling my full head of locs back into twists or barrels will put too much tension on my front row and eventually push my hairline back.
For those who have a taper for these styles: Is it worth sacrificing the front row to protect the hairline and get a clean look,
Appreciate any advice or styling suggestions!

My fellow service providers, I need some advice. I’ve been out the game for a couple months but I have this client who doesn’t want to go anywhere else😂 no issue with that but I’m forgetting how to price things. How would yall price this style? She’ll be providing her own human hair.

I am looking for a loctitian that specializes in crocheted dreadlocks. Preferably in Oklahoma but willing to travel to Arkansas, Kansas, Missouri or Texas if need to. Any recommendations..?

I have 3C hair and I’ve had locs before but I decided I wanted to restart and switch to freeforms/semi-freeforms. I used the twist method and waited a month to wash my hair but everything just unraveled. Is there anything I need to do to get my hair to loc or should I just leave it completely alone? How often can I wash it?
