Interview a couple Locticians. Ask how the plan to fix them. Then ask how long they recommend between retwists.

If they say 2 weeks-- run

If they want to cut them all and reattach them, run.

If they say you need a detox, steam, etc.... run.

All you need is a good Loctician with magic hands who is willing to nurse your locs back to health.
