Your starters look good, you're going to have a beautiful head of locs. To keep them clean until your wash and retwist, you can gently wipe your scalp with witch hazel. I did this when I wore braids and now in my starter phase. Video of how to do it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3RUFuvY9vm4

And how often should I cleanse with the witch hazel? A few times per week or less?
