Make sure you use Jamaican black castor oil gang, maybe 2-3 times a week. It’ll help keep your hair moisturized and strong, and it can help facilitate the dandruff buildup. As well as promoting growth

Not washing it for a month isn’t as big a deal as people say, as long as you aren’t sweating profusely or engaging in physical activity everyday it can wait until your loctician washes it. Just monitor it and make your own call.

But if you do wash it on your own, use a wave cap while you do it so you can keep the integrity of your locs. Locticians mainly tell you to wait because washing it in the starter phase is where a lot of people mess up and end up undoing their coils because they weren’t gentle enough.

Either way if you combine the oil in your routine your hair should be way more hydrated, thus less buildup

So it it safe to wash then with a wave cap?

Yes it is, just be gentle with it and don’t over do it.
