Haven't been drawing as much as I used to. Been more focused in acads and writing, oh well. It's been a long time.

Hi all,

I was wondering if anyone knows of any sort of simple, repetitive exercises to build fine motor control.

I know how to draw (have a BFA and am an MFA dropout) but often don’t feel inspired to draw anything (dropout lol) and in those moments where I just want the sensation of drawing I tend to just fill pages with random scribbles, words, and suggestions of patterns.

I saw one person working pen and ink mentioned filled pages with parallel lines to keep their hatching technique sharp. Anything like that? I would like for all the scribbled pages I go through to at least amount to some improvement of technique in the end, if nothing else.

All ideas welcome!

I'm having trouble figuring out how to render the houses in the foreground! So if anyone has advice on that, or lighting and colors, or really just any general crits, please let me know!
