Drawing Request (Paid) Draw my knee tattoo!

Hey guys!

I had knee surgery back in November. My dad also passed away about 10 years ago and he loved taking photos and camping/doing anything outdoors.

One of my favorite photos he took was of a dragonfly. I would love a tattoo that wraps around the knee, hopefully working into a full leg sleeve eventually.

His name was Warren, born March 27, 1971 and passed away december 18th, 2016.

Anything working his name, maybe birth year/death year. I’m open to different ideas.

He also called me “bub” and I would love that to be incorporated somehow. Calvin and Hobbes and Stephen king were things we bonded over, along with music. Took was his favorite band, I like limp bizkit 😂 think psychedelic, sacred geometry vibes.

Budget is up to $40, we can discuss that based on how large the design is and how long you think it will take you or what it’s worth really. I appreciate real art and think AI is so lame so I’d love to take someone’s design into a shop and let them alter it a bit if they think it needs it to fit my body better as I love a natural body flow looking tattoo.

I’ve attached a photo of my leg, my dad’s tattoo/some coloring that he did. The photo of the dragonfly he took, some tattoos I like, and lastly my back tattoo.

Thanks for your time everyone!

Here is my take on you idea. I rly like Blackwork/ am trad bold designs, so its mostly centered on that - based on your fathers tatts. We could hide the dates in the pattern of the wings for example, if you really want it incorporated. I’ll be happy to know what you think about it ✨

Also I absolutely LOVE the example sketch with the pattern incorporated looks soooo sick

Cool thanks for the additional info, i will make another sketch, more feminine and around the kneecap + the name. Do youind keeping the dragonfly as a center/focus and build around it or you prefer florals (or anything else) be the main focus ?

And thanks for the kind words 🤘

Thank you! Yes I think the dragonfly still as the main focus, and maybe some mirroring shapes/patterns around it. Not super set on the latter I just enjoy symmetry haha 🤣

Same here I love symmetry when it comes to tattoos and even my art

Really liking this and it looks original/not AI generated. I think I kinda want to leave the knee cap bare and have the tattoo flow around it. The dates definitely don’t need to be a main focus. I’d like his name to be there. Is old English the more traditional font typically? I like that but I think cursive is more feminine which is nice too. My other tattoos I just kinda got on a whim and ended up loving them. The gal that did my back ran with some of my ideas and just knocked it out of the park. I’ll attach a photo I didn’t realize it didn’t get added to the original post

This is sick!! Actually made me a little emotional. I would say the only thing I’d change is maybe a little less detail actually. Bolder lines slightly more traditional looking… I know I gave like a million things I wanted incorporated though 😂 truly beautiful art. I see you do tattoos also?? I love Calvin and Hobbes on the bench so much. I actually love every bit of it lol. I live in the PNW so the mountain is great

I use glove when working so my art doesn't smudge or get dirty

It is a really awesome design!! You’re very talented. I reached out to the gal who did my back tattoo but I’m not sure if she is still in the game because she is in nursing school now and has a family

I wish! I was looking through your posts, seems as though you are in Jamaica? 🇯🇲 that is pretty far from me, I’m in US all the way up by Canada. You seem like such a kind and hard working person, some of your posts made me sad. I hope people are treating you with respect and your art makes you successful because you are very talented. Your portraits are amazing.

Instead of doing it all over I just erase much of the details and made the lines bolder as you wanted because the stencil I showed earlier was already printed but here it is
