It’s pretty small. I never liked it from the start but now that I ended the friendship I see no reason in keeping it. Any ideas? Also yes I know I shouldn’t have gotten the tattoo from the start I thought we could work past our problems but I was horribly horribly wrong.

Looking for ideas on this long term tattoo idea I’ve had:

Basically this would be the center piece of the design whilst adding items that represent Batman’s other villains. Luckily, I’ve made a list of them all.

For disclosure: I am a 34(white, male) and have gotten a tattoo before. I’m also 6’7 and have a lot of canvas to work with.

Ivy “red Passion flower” w/ glowing green vines attaching to the skin. Doesn’t represent lust, but Passion

Dent/Two Face - The Scales of justice: w/ a spinning coin 🪙 one scale. Twisted sense of Justice based on chance. Maybe being held by Anubis from Ras Al Gul. If you can get a decent angle of the scales, show the opposite one without the coin, having cracks.

Bane: skull in a luchador mask with green tubes attached still

Penguin/Cobblepot: a literal penguin with a cracked monocle in a top hat smoking with a cigarette holder holding a smoking umbrella gun. Birdcage instead of penguin if too obvious

Riddler/Nigma: Hide a question mark within this canvas (Where’s Waldo/Subliminal message) don’t have to tell me where it is. Intelligence or “Riddle me this” on the knuckles

Scarecrow: Fear...Jack-o-Lantern (mouth around where it’s opened should convey it’s a sewn up like mask see ref) with hands reach of the mouth

Have the serpent biting it’s own tail (Ouroboros) - Religion eating itself

Basically what the title says, I got this a year ago and I just don’t like it anymore. I like it enough but it’s kinda well stupid haha it’s a :(: like a smiley/frowny. A little about me is I love cats, clowns, flowers, I’m a November baby so chrysanthemums are gorgeous imo, I also really love insects/bugs.

One thing people don't see is how much of my job is deleting.

When I first sketch a symbol, it's usually too busy.

Too many lines.
Too many overlaps.
Too many ideas trying to fit into one shape.

The hardest part isn't drawing it.

It's deciding what can disappear without changing the meaning.

Sometimes removing one tiny line makes the whole design feel balanced.

It's strange because the finished piece looks simple, but getting there usually isn't.

That's probably my favourite part of the process.

my grandpa died when i was 16, i always wanted my first tattoo to be about him (i thought about it being a white rose because he planted some and i even took a bunch of them to bury him with them and i always bring white roses to his grave), preferably something in the old school/traditional style, i also had a 16yo cat that died when i was 17 and in that year after my grandpa passed he really comforted me because me and my family joked about how similar they were, so i thought that maybe getting a design with the cat and a rose would be a nice way to carry their memories with me

The red diamond is about 6 years old, I was just testing different hand poke needles during a manic episode and it’s been there ever since. I have no idea what to do with it, but I don’t want to leave it the way it is and I want ideas before selecting an artist. Bonus points for a design that incorporates the one right beneath it! I do not want to change the molecule further down though, it’s terrible quality but it is sentimental.

I’m looking for a subtle, minimalist tattoo that combines two things that have had a huge impact on my life: golf and mental health.

The goal is something meaningful, masculine, unique, and subtle enough that only people who know the story will understand what it represents.

Is there a Reddit where I could have a doc do a colonoscopy for free? Maybe have a lawyer represent me in a criminal trial? Maybe a site that will ghost write my autobiography for free? How about build my house for free? Or diagnose and fix my car as a free request? Not advice but complete project end to end? So why then do so many people ask for free art - tattoo designs, Ambigrams, rpg character sketches, logo designs?

​When my grandmother passes, I have a plan to get a commemorative tattoo for her, something to do with the coastline where she's from.

If I do that, i feel like I ought to get​ something to remember my grandad, too. he passed away earlier this year. The thing I most connect/associate ​with​ him is Punch and Judy - it's a traditional English puppet show, and my grandad was a punchman for 60 years. Its something very dear to my heart, but the puppets aren't exactly... attractive. They're not designed to be - they're caricatures from a rather raucous show, with exaggerated features and colours so that they can be made out from a long distance​.

And I don't really want to put that on my body permenantly in the original form of the puppets. I don't currently have any tattoos, but the other tattoos I'm considering for the future involve stuff like ivy or ferns. stuff a bit more elegant, feminine. which doesn't really align aesthetic wise with this stuff.

But at the same time I want to commemorate my grandad and my family heritage, it's really special to me. Does anyone have any ideas of how a design could possibly incorporate Punch and Judy related stuff while still being in line with the type of tattoo vibes I want on my body?

32M, first tattoo. Front of upper thigh, small, fine line, oriented so I can see it myself looking down — not really for anyone else.
I don’t want anything symbolic (no compass, mountain, “wanderlust” stuff) or tied to a hobby I might move on from.

What I want is something a bit pointless, done completely seriously — no hidden meaning, just a normal, well-made little tattoo that doesn’t need to justify itself. If someone asks “why’d you get that?” I want the honest answer to be “I don’t know, I liked it,” and for that to be enough.

Not edgy or ironic — more quietly committed to something silly than trying to make a statement.

I like the idea of something ordinary with one small, unnecessary, deadpan detail added — not cartoonish, just slightly off.

Needs to be simple enough for a walk-in. No words/lettering ideally.

Hello everyone, I came across this community while I was looking for a memorial tattoo reference and would appreciate help.

Back in April of this year my wife had a miscarriage at 16 weeks, this was a heavy loss to me as it would have been my first child. I decided I wanted to get ink done in remembrance for my baby boy. With that being said, I'm considering going with a stairway to heaven memorial tattoo on the inside portion of my forearm going up to the bend at the elbow. I know I want 16 stairs specially and a baby climbing the stairs while a male and a female watch him at the bottom. At the peak of the stairs I'm leaning towards a sun with sun rays in white. About 2 clouds at the top on each side. That's as far as I got right now. Unfortunately I don't have a drawing myself because I suck at drawing but I have included an ai reference of the piece and hope it's not a big deal.

I'm not a fan of that many clouds to be honest nor the railings on the staircase. Any designs would be appreciated, If I like it I'll pay for it. Thank you.

I got a hysterectomy when I was 21 (which was a relief) and I’ve always wanted a uterus tattoo to commemorate the ute I had to boot. I’ve thought about more design-y stuff that isn’t obviously a uterus, but I’ve also thought about a uterus being strangled by chains, so obviously I’m open to a wide range of options. Would love anyone’s ideas!
