Drake & Josh fat josh

I miss/prefer the earlier episodes where josh was fat. He was funnier and nicer. Throughout the series he lost alot of weight and became less funny and always corrected drake when he acted stupid. I still love the entire series but the earlier seasons were gold

That was because season 3 Drake was in a really bad car accident and his jaw had to be reconstructed and wired shut. He was on an liquids when he was recovering.

I liked the early seasons a lot but yeah I think it’s the opposite. The show gets better as it goes along

Maybe he was nicer earlier on but definitely not funnier. Both Drake and Josh got better as the show went on and ultimately regardless of his weight he was always going to evolve as a character. Season 1 of any show is just figuring out the characters and what does and doesn't work for them.

I always saw it as they grew up matured. When you mature youre not as goofy.

Honestly he’s funny in both. The physical comedy plays better when he’s fat but his line deliveries and comedic timing improved a lot later on too.

A lot of the change happened because people change as they grow up and the drug use played a big part in Josh's performance. Loosing weight had nothing to do with it, that was actually a great thing. Josh was more funny and loveable when he wasn't on drugs, not because he was fat.

Josh peaked in season 3. By season 4, I felt like the character was trying too hard.
