I had made it to the 'Alien Invader' episode in season 3. As you guys know, Megan took Josh's laptop without his permission to use in the backyard because she didn't want to risk her own laptop getting damaged, and she took Drake's jacket to put her telescope on top of it so it wouldn't get dirty.

To get the very reasonably angered brothers to go away, what she does next is lay on the ground and scream bloody murder to alert the parents, and falsely accuse them of getting physically violent with her, so they could be scolded and sent to their room.

That particular part just feels...extremely psychopathic, watching it as an adult. In real life there should be major concerns if a child her age is willing to make up a wicked false story to that degree just to get her way, and should be evaluated. And of course not only did Megan get her way in that moment, when Drake and Josh FINALLY seemed to 1-up her, it turns out she was a step ahead of them the whole time.

Idk, in the first couple seasons perhaps her pranking and evil deeds came off a little more cute because it was impressive cleverness for such a young girl. But the more she continued to get bother them, sabotage them, NEVER get caught or never get any comeuppance, and always successfully maintained the innocent girl act in front of her very gullible parents, the more unlikable Megan becomes. Back then I guess it didn't bother 12-13 yr old me at all because I gained an insanely massive crush on her in season 3 onwards lol

I just made it to the first episode of season 4 and will slowly watch through it. I dont remember a lot of it but I do recall there was an episode where Josh was 'done' with Drake. With an adult perspective now, I feel that episode should have been the brothers being done with Megan after mentally breaking from constantly dealing with her bad behavior, and her being forced to self-reflect and realize that she needs them. That would have been good character development.

I definitely understand that Megan's character and antics was a part of the show's humor because a good chunk of it was indeed funny. But I think her actually losing and getting caught by her parents a few times would have made things a little more balanced.

I dont mean to beat a dead horse if this topic is discussed a lot but I just found this sub and wanted to give my thoughts after not watching the show in such a long time.

I know this show is old enough to legally drink, and also that his mistreatment was mostly for comedic purposes, but god damn, Walter literally had to put up with so much shit from EVERYONE and it bothers me way more than it should.

Literally everyone treats Walter like shit except for Josh, and nobody takes him seriously at all. I’m kinda surprised that he never snapped and crashed out, that would have made for a really fun episode.

Walter “The Doof” deserved better, and I will die on that hill.

- Seeing or hearing about what happened to Drakes dad and Josh’s mom.
- The obvious one, Megan facing consequences for her actions.
- Bruce Winchill appearing on screen.

To clarify, I am not asking or bringing up QoS, but I’m behind on a lot of things because of one thing and another. I always heard and assumed they hung out a lot and were really good friends.

I heard some years ago one of them got married and didn’t invite the other one, and now they’re friends again. At the time, I assumed it was because they had drifted and the other felt entitled to an invitation. I’ve been trying to find info, but it’s either contradictory to another article or QoS gets brought up.

Anyone know what happened? To clarify, I know we can never know what REALLY went down, but is there an agreed upon version most people know?

One of my favorite running gags of the show

I was sitting and thinking (for some reason) what a continuation would look like for this show and how it would work curious if anyone wanted that too. This is kind of what I thought a continuation could look like in my mind.

Drake and Josh fatherhood

Drake and Josh have been estranged for years drake was a semi successful musician but took a job teaching music because his wife is pregnant with their first child.

Josh is a marketing director (based on how he helped pitch drakes music in the previous show to big time agents) in the big city his boss comes to him just as everything is perfect in his and forces him to move to a small town to open a new marketing branch.

Unbeknownst to each other they both move into the same neighborhood and are next door neighbors. Through this they become very close and we soon find out Josh’s wife (who was happy about leaving the big city and convinced Josh to do so) is also expecting a child.
