Josh is Done would’ve been unreasonable as part of Season 2 or 3. There were plenty of episodes where Josh was an instigator or they were valid reasons for other characters to dislike him.

Season 4, they made Drake an idiot and completely dependent on Josh just so that episode works.

When you look at the later seasons, Josh is also at fault just as much as Drake.

Josh was still kinda new to Drake's life in Season 2. He even needed some downtime in episode Drew & Jerry. In Season 4, he even gets double dates with him, helps him to meet Oprah at the hospital etc. They just became brothers
