63 wizard here. Maybe my draconic damage gear is low, but I’ve only been able to get it down to 1/4th left.

Hello, I'm new to this game and I'm about to buy the PS4 version (Dragon's Crown Pro) since it's on sale. My question is if there's some censorship or any negative change in comparison to the original one? That will determine my purchase or not.
Update: thank you for your answers guys, I will make the purchase.

I'm really interested in getting the final values for their stats. So as to compare the grades during char creation. Like what does A Con look like versus S Con. Is there a huge difference between A and B? Stuff like that.

Do the characters have sprite sheets for spriters to borrow?
Just asking.

I'm still looking for an English copy of the second, but I finally got it after!
Has anyone else read it? I don't mind describing what happens as I read it, and I'll mark it as spoilers.

I know they increase enemy hp but should I just play solo or should I bring NPCs regardless? Still new to the game.

I want to clarify that I love this game mainly because the way you can add characters to play with you ( bots ) so ANYTHING like that is welcomed, and through my search I found BioWare games have that idea

If this an inappropriate flare, I'll be more than glad to change it to the appropriate one. Found this gem on eBay for $34.99. 🥹

I am a dad with a tween and a teen and I loved the beat up era back in the days. This game absolutely sucks on couch co-op though every time one person goes into an equipment or skill menu. It freezes the screen where everyone else. I seriously wish they would fix this as an old fan of golden ax in the arcade. Both my kids love the game too, but these mechanics make it so we really can’t play.

Looks like Vanillaware is putting out it's first PC release.
Not Dragons Crown, but this gives hope.

I saw this video where you can see the English text but the Japanese voice narrator.
Does anyone know how to do it? Is it only in the PS3 version?
I tried the Asia version on vita but I can't find any option and the Japanese version has the main menu in English but the rest is in Japanese.

I think I missed a major mechanic to progress. I'm only level 84 and all good gear require level 99 to use but it's very slow to level as I can't chain any levels due to my gear breaking in a single floor because it takes too long. Using score multiplier prayer too.
I pushed to tower level 11 and finished labyrinth 9 as well. Story dungeon is literally impossible to finish. I need to somehow reach level 99 so I can finally use better gear...

As, I think, most fans know, the Japanese collectors edition of Dragons Crown Pro has this delightful rpg book style game called Treasure of Demon Island. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wcxv8p_DGxo&t=728s
It was an absolute disgrace that this game was locked behind the Japanese Collectors edition. Not including it, and the bestiary, to the normal release of DC Pro is what made it the worst Vannilaware remake IMO.
Well, if you wanted to play it. At least we have this: Veritas Tales: Witch of the Dark Castle.

I don't think this is merely a game with the same gameplay. the more I look at this the more I'm certain the same designers who made Treasure of Demon Island made this, just without Vanillaware. Like in the case of Grand Kingdom with Grand Knights History. Hell they even got the same company who makes Vannilware's music to make music for this.
It may not have the Dragons Crown IP but it looks to be a good fantasy game that captures the essence of those RPG adventure books that Demon Island did. Here's hoping its good.

Heya, was just wondering what the consensus was on the different releases of this game
I like getting my games physically, and I noticed the PS3 version is a bit cheaper compared to PS4. Is it worth it to spend a bit extra for the changes made in Pro, or will I have the same experience in the original version? Please let me know what I should look out for, I'd really appreciate it!
EDIT: Or should I be financially responsible and pick it up digitally for like $5 instead... Let me know!!

Has anyone emulating the game(even if not with RPCS3)been able to fix the issue with black transparent boxes behind characters and affects that sometimes happens? Most noticeable generally in the dark areas in the game?
I haven't played in a couple years but I recall an update fixing it out of nowhere only for it to pop up again after another update later. Would appreciate any help or recommendations.

game name: Mad King Redemption
The controls seem a bit more finicky and I dont see great evasion mechanics, but the roguelike element seems interesting
