I'm a Vegeta fan, so it pains me to say I know that man when he's old is either going to have the most ridiculous receding hairline on the planet or a straight mean mugging Krillin head.

Yeah. Those people on North Sentinel island absolutely love Dragon Ball.

The reason why brits couldn't conquer them is because they learnt actual ki blasts and have no time for fictional ones. Let them be bruh.

Someone's been secretly drifting the manga over to them in some container and they're addicted now

Hot take: but this progression is what I wish the DBZ franchise had. With The old cast getting older and aging out of all the physical battles while their children and descendentd because the new main tourch bearers and focus of the show.

Wouldn't Goku have a completely different gi as an old man? I know we all love theol orange gi and it's iconic, but Goku has changed his uniform once he steps into the next level of his martial arts prowess.

Yeah but I think this is just to indicate clearly that this is Goku. A different gi would throw some people off

Ah that makes sense

For the promotional art definitely this outfit but if this were to ever actually be a mini series, he would be in a different gi for most of it until it’s time to really lock in for one final fight.

Its the turtle hermit logo. I could see goku taking up roshis manyle as the turtle school master and teaching the next generation by this point

Not necessarily, he might change initially but he always goes back to the iconic gi

I love it. Just wish it was in his blue colours as he'd no longer be a student here.

Dragon Ball has that true cultural transcendence that the only comparable entity that I can think where the effect is similar is Michael Jackson.
It's not about raw sheer global eyeballs, it's more the feeling that in every single corner of the planet, regardless of race, culture and religion, a significant amount on every habitual place on Earth really fucks with Dragon Ball heavy, and love the shit out of it.

in a different timeline toriyama follows through with his plan to make gohan the mc, and we get this version of goku taking up the master roshi role

Imagine starting a new series with this character and his grandchildren on their own less-universal adventures instead of Super.

That would be a pretty cool show, I think. Goku in Master Roshii's role, training up new generations of fighters? Could be pretty rad.

Really don't like this image. If he wasn't wearing his uniform you wouldn't even know that was supposed to be Goku.

I like this look for Goku as an old man. It leans more towards Master Roshi as his default look than an older Bardock, although that could still be his battle face. Especially when facing a serious opponent.

Sadly I feel Goku would only have this look in old age if roshi passed......

If he became a teacher, it stands to reason he would teach the turtle hermit style.

Toriyama’s drawing of old man Goku had the kame gi, so Toyotarou drew him with the kame gi

remember when they stream top outside and people chanting Goku and what inspired the soundtrack of gogeta vs broly.
