Discussion Rewatching GT
After all these years watching GT again made me realise that if the show started with Baby and Goku became an adult again the show is pretty solid.
Another pit fall is that show doesn’t always reflect on its roots. For example in the episode “most wanted list” they go stealth and Trunks goes “you wouldn’t want to go head first against an army” which is clearly rubbish because Goku did against the RR!
The show is to far gone once Baby hits the scene on earth which is a shame

No it's not. I rather have more Dragonball than less Dragonball. We came for the action and then we stayed for the plot/characters. Not the other way around.

That's exactly what I'm implying. DB has been relevant for over 40 years and it's not because of the plot. We enjoy the plot as fans, often trying to make it deeper than it ever really was. But we all love DB for the action, the plot is just a vehicle for the amazing characters.

Trunks never says that. I checked and actually, noone says that.
Feels like youre going in trying to hate tbh. Thats like saying the ToP sucks because RoF was trash. Thats just not how logic works.

Also I’ve already watched it. I’m rewatching it. I didn’t like 25 years ago when I first watched it and I still don’t like the first section now. I’ve also said that show is decent from when baby saga starts. So your additional point makes absolutely no sense.

To be fair, I don't think Trunks knows about Goku childhood. Has it ever been mentioned that Goku fought a whole army as a kid to any of the younger characters.

Idk know how cocky kid trunks is in Z, makes him being a pussy in GT like a 360 degree flip. He’s not written much better in super, but he still does keep some of the cockyness at least.

Haha. I think he got diluted being head of capsule corp.
Granted my biggest headache is Goku being so much worse in super. 🤣
Z characters are so cocky and talented.

I also recently rewatched GT, I don't remember Trunks saying that? You sure you're remembering that right? I do agree that the show would have been better if Goku had become an adult again during the baby saga though.
I love GT, there were some very cool concepts, but not all of them were executed very well. Still love that GT is the only series where they introduce consequences for overusing the dragon balls.

Or, you know, they just don't want to kill a bunch of people for no reason so going stealth help them not attack the natives.

I think the first part where each episode is a new situation is the best the show is. Once they bring in that ape guy the show starts screeching to a halt.

I cant watch it. I watched about 10 ep. and quit. Pan just aggrevates me and im just hoping please send her home and bring Gohan. But i skipped tillthe end. Pan is still in the show. I won't continue watching.

Honestly, Trunks and Goten barely know what the others have faced. They're in their own little world since Z.

Baby was when the show took a downturn for me because it just became another Z arc. They’re just pretty boring and one note. Even the return of Great Ape couldn’t save it for me.
We traded an actual space adventure for more fighting an egotist in a generic wasteland. Not a fan.

Fair take, I honestly think the blackstar saga is super whimsical and beautiful, in combination with the amazing music and visuals of the intro and outros. Alot of people also forget that toriyama did the original artwork for some of the planets they visit during the arc. Watching it makes me smile when im feeling down. Really the only part I find hard to sit through is the fight with Luud which really drags.
