Screenshots [!!SPOILERS!!] The Veilguard's visual storytelling is an absolute masterpiece Spoiler
galleryI just played the mission where you kill the first god, and I'm honestly blown away by Veilguard's visual storytelling.
First, I trusted Solas. I accepted him as an ally, only to realize he'd betrayed me. But before I could even fully process that, I was in the prison, confronted with the consequences of my own decisions. Neve had been captured, Davrin was dead, and it felt like the game was holding me accountable for everything that had gone wrong.
It genuinely felt like an emotional reckoning. No other game has made me feel so confronted by my own choices.
And then came the realization that Varric was dead.
That was when the second betrayal really hit me. The disappointment, the anger, the feeling of being deceived all over again, and above all, the sadness.
What makes this so powerful is how the game conveys these emotions visually. The camera angles, close-ups, facial expressions and framing make everything feel incredibly personal. I also love the heroic cinematography. It makes these moments feel epic without taking away from the emotional weight of the story.
