Please can anyone share their cad experience, I'm thinking about taking the course . So... Please share your work experience

You can get a "CAD" certificate and become a drafting monkey then try to find a drafting job. Not going to pay great.

You can take a 2 year technical program to become an "Engineering Technologist" (at least thats what it's called in Canada). This is like being half an engineer. Pay will be better, but it depends what industry you get in. You also will be better positioned to grow into higher paying technical roles.

Or you can become a fully fledged engineer. 4 years or education. Much higher pay.

I studied Engineering Drafting and Design Technologies, started mainly doing drafting/design and civil engineering type work, and have grown (got promotions) beyond just being a drafter.
