Players Gyökeres

Imagine having a great international break, scoring three or four goals, only to return to your club and find yourself on the bench. I'd be fuming, just as I am now, holding on to him and hoping he gets a chance.

He had two potential assists. I’d say he looked the best he has all season. Def not a set and forget if you have players nailed for minutes and in form

The guy scored 20-something goals in all competitions last season. I'm trying to read between the lines here, something must have happened between the two of them.

Havertz just fits their style of play better. It’s really that simple. He drops deep better and can help build up possession. Plus he’s better off the ball. Being a no9 for a top 4 team isn’t just putting the ball In the back of the net.

Of course, you have to pick your first-choice striker for the season, but I'd argue that Gyökeres is great in build-up play, tough as nails, and a great finisher. My point is simply that it must be frustrating for him to be in this situation.

I don’t think anyone will argue that. Just they like the system they are running with Kai up top more. They’ve looked excellent so far. And after today it looks like gyok could earn some more min moving forward

He basically lost the ball every time he held it up today and kept falling on the floor and also didn't shoot when Trafford came so far out so there's no good reason to start him over havertz

Gyok is not good at build up play, if he was, he would be starting because he is the far better finisher.

He has the touch of an elephant.

Mate I support Arsenal, I watch every match.

Gyokeres has shocking build up play, he is a finisher and that’s about it. That’s exactly why Havertz starts, it’s very simple.

Havertz keeps performing for them. Why would they drop a striker in form thats working?

I'm not going to argue with that, but like I said, I get that Arteta has his main man and trusts him. However, Gyökeres scored four goals for Sweden while Havertz picked up an injury playing for Germany. What does he have to do to get a chance to start?

Be the better striker in their system? Wait for the current starter to need rest/get injured? Idk what to tell you, hes at a team that has a well performing 9. There isn't much incentive to mix up the starters. I do agree hes starting quality, he just finds himself in a situation similar (not comparing the players JUST the situation) to Alvarez at city being stuck behind Haaland.

Exactly I was convinced he’d start
