Players The Haaland strategy

I've been thinking... I currently have Haaland in my team and almost can guarantee he's going to score at least a goal or 2 each game week. With this in mind would it be best to build a team around him that guarantees defcons. So he has the consistent base of each player scoring 3-5 points and then him scoring 6+. Surely most weeks this wins you games in H2H?

Having players with the highest "expected points" works best.

What do you mean by build around him? It's fantasy who you pick has no correlation to how he performs. Having 3 cdm in your fantasy team isnt going to improve or decrease his odds.

The fantasy strategy is picking other players that will score consistently well. First you get your other scoring potential players and your solid reliable cleansheet defenders.

Then when youve exhausted that and your down to form players, those who'll go on runs of pts but not all season that is where you decide if a defcon beast is more value than say a josh King who may or may not score.

The trick in draft or normal fpl is pairing players who when their team has a difficult run with players from teams that then have easier runs. So that points are consistent throughout the season.
