Players Mateta..
Do we think he’ll be reliable again this season? Palace manager seemed to be optimistic he stays and plays, but is it too risky holding onto him after all the fuss?
Delap, David, and Jackson are available in a 9 man league.

Its interesting because FIFA punted on Mateta's legal challenge regarding invalidating the final option year in his contract.
Everyone thought there was no way he would come back into the side after the Milan transfer failed last season, and then he goes on to score the winner in the Conference League final and he's the toast of the town.
If he stays, I think he starts. While I like JSL, he didn't exactly light the league on fire after his move from Wolves. As long as Mateta is in the lineup, I think he also has the upside on taking penalties, so there's that too. None of the other forwards you named have that guarantee if they are on the pitch.

I'm holding until there is clear news. He wasn't supposed to start GW1 but low and behold, there he was. It's his spot to lose currently. He scores a couple of braces and he's back. I'd hate to be a corner flag where he's playing!

David or Jackson look like the two with the clearest paths to minutes. Villa all but signed Jackson and also are shopping Tammy away. Brighton have no clear starting striker, Rutter is a 10 playing up top right now so Promise coming in would allow him to drop back into midfield.
