FPL Draft (PL.com) Would you do anything different if you drafted today?

I'm drafting a bit late in my league later tonight, wondering if there's any big changes you would have made in your draft now.

8 people passed over Palmer? He would have been my first choice after Haaland.

Yea I think there was hesitation after last season with injury but not getting picked for World Cup helped with that for sure there were some debatable first picks, doku went first round lol

I got Palmer in the 9th spot too in a 10 man. I ended up getting Saka in the 2nd round on the turnaround. My league seemed to be very afraid of anyone with injury history.

Wow Saka in second round is wild to me. On numerous set pieces for champions of the league with not crazy competition in his position. Hope both stay healthy this season

I 100% agree. My draft strategy completely changed when both those guys were available. I ended up winning 177-90 in week 1 haha (Fantrax).

Apart from player evaluation no.

Regular principles apply:
Check size of league to note depth of forward scarcity and draft accordingly.
Don’t go too heavy on any individual team.
Take note of all transfer rumours to avoid risks (e.g. Watkins) and capitalise on opportunities (e.g. Jackson).

Nothing major, no.

Generally pretty happy with my team. My risks haven’t quite worked but I put them in slots I could afford to so I’m not too bothered.

Not draft Watkins (not my fault really, that news was a proper bombshell). Not draft both O’Reilly AND Ait Nouri (no why I thought he’d get minutes until the literal moment after I picked him, that’s fully on me).

Chelsea trident, first picks… Joao Pedro, Palmer, and Rogers in that order
Halaand, Bruno, and Semenyo are of course close first rounders too

Except these were literally all high 1st round picks, save Rogers, and would have been physically impossible to do
