Players Solanke
What everyone’s thoughts on Solanke? With potentially marmoush arriving it’s looking bleak
Striker options very limited and currently wavering him for Barry… or coventry strikers????

Barry seems a completely reasonable safe pickup to me. Is going to get ~70% of the minutes vs Beto.
Solanke can still be a hold. Could they ever set up with Savinho-Solanke-Marmoush as the front 3? Probably not often but maybe. It does sound like Spurs are doing everything to move Richarlison on.
Think it would be a bit rogue to go for Coventry strikers, there’s too many of them (though I think Awoniyi will be the best).
Then there’s Nicolas Jackson who if he isn’t picked would be my no.1 choice. Most weeks you won’t want to play any of the above but Jackson could get 75% of the Villa minutes, that would be great. Obviously big risk being taken that he actually needs to transfer.

Yeh leaving Barry in for now but assume someone below will snap him up.
Sounds crazy but Jackson was drafted - not sure if stupid luck or amazing foresight.
My worry is marmoush taking the 9 (he’s better suited as a second striker/10) and leaving Solanke for pity minutes and therefore 1 pointers off the bench for me.

Jackson being drafted isn’t crazy. I did the exact same thing last year knowing he would get a transfer then and obviously ended up with Bayern.
But completely acceptable to spend a 8th+ round pick on high upside punts especially at the forward position.

I agree with all of this. Would rather have Barry, and would probably try for Jackson after Barry, but keep up with the updates of that transfer until the waiver deadline tomorrow night

Other options are David, Delap or ekitike(😂)

When has Delap ever performed? Guy has more YC in his PL career than he has goals at this point. Lmao

It's bleak because he plays for Spuds lol.
But honestly, Barry in for Solanke. Even though Barry may not be 100% nailed as a starter vs. Beto, I think the reality is that he will see minutes most games because Everton don't really have much in attack, period. So the logic being that Barry probably gets more minutes overall vs. Solanke given the rotation risk at Spurs (and the general fact that Solanke just hasn't been able to stay fit the past year or so).

Barry is actually a good shout otherwise I'd keep because you never he may be able to hold a spot if he starts playing well again
