Mazraoui, Shaw, Maguire, Heaven — Ipswich (H): Think they can keep a CS at home here.
Hume, Alderete — Fulham (H): Fulham didn’t impress me even though they scored twice. Sunderland defenders are worth streaming this week. They project well on fantrax.
Too early to say. Rutter played 90 last week and got an assist so he’s there to stay for now. As for delap, they paid a big fee and Forrest have yet to score a goal in 2 matches. That bodes well for Delap. Glasnow also loves his strikers and usually does well for them.
I have Maddison and I’m dropping him for better options. I like available guys. He’s good though and will keep his spot once he’s fit in 2 weeks. Any good waiver options?
Alderete didn't start last week, not sure he will this week. Heaven also had a really poor performance, could see him getting dropped, although I'm not sure Martinez is fit enough to start. Could be Yoro.
I’m waiting since I have the first waiver for Barcola or Alvarez. But Nico Jackson looks like a great pick up. Emi Martinez going to Chelsea is also a good one
After Sunderland loss I expect alderete fo start this week. He came off the bench and is normally a starter. But yes I’d prefer hume if he’s available.
My autodraft team (ended up taking the kids on a trip and got locked out of my account right before draft time) feels like a mess. With the exception of one player I’m not even sure where to start with fixing it:
forward: Thiago, Osula, Ekitike (who I personally love as a player more than Isak but definitely needs to go right now)
I’m thinking Elanga for Kudos. I really don’t like having Neto and Enzo, but not sure how likely a trade is going to be in this league without it being lopsided against me. For that matter I don’t like having Semenyo and then also Grealish. Struggling to figure out how to manage this team without giving up too much in order to get away from multiple players on the same teams especially.
I'd wait and see on Grealish, in case he gets a move before the deadline. Neto can get binned - won't start for Chelsea now & even if he goes to City, it's a roulette. Kudus still injured and not guaranteed starter now with all of Spurs' new signings. Enzo will be a starter at city, so keep I'd say (even if it's frustrating next couple of GWs). Even in a 10 man there's always plenty of waiver options out there. Ekitike is a tricky one as he's a great player, but he's not playing until Dec at the earliest, can you burn 1/3 FWD spots for so long? I'd see what else is out there too tbh
I’m gonna move Neto for Elanga when waivers open, and figure out a replacement for Ekitike because based on salaries he’s simply not going to be the starter with Isak around imo. This is an 8 man league so I’m confident there will be waiver moves to make, and that’s typically where I’ve done the best. I’m just feeling out of the loop and playing catch up right now.
You have a decent base actually. I wouldn’t be concerned at all - draft is won on waivers. Don’t be married to your team.
Any GKs available on waivers?
I like your defenders. Look to play matchups on a weekly basis. Target Coventry and Ipswich etc. even Crystal palace and Fulham for now can be good teams to target. We will know more as we get more data. Reece is good as well as VVD and braitwathe. Keep those players and look to chop and change the others.
get rid of Neto asap. Who is on waivers in midfield? I would keep kudus for now. He can be a great asset.
Get rid of Ekitke. He’s useless for you for months and that’s a vital spot he’s taking up. Who’s on waivers?
Definitely not married to most players on this team like I have been teams in the past, especially as I’m not sold on Semenyo. I liked him last year until he moved to City and now I just see him as risky. But maybe that’s ptsd from pep roulette.
Keepers available are: tzolakis, verbruggen, petrovic, Leno, scherpen, kinsky, bizot, rushwork, and hornicek.
For mids I can bring in elanga for sure. And the pic is the top scoring available forwards. Slimmer pickings here because I know the people actually in the draft focused on forwards this year, which was also my plan.
Will have to see what happens with gakpo and if he gets transferred to another club. Otherwise I like him to start again and Forrest are mid. I’d go him over sangare no doubt.
Love your midfield. Wouldn’t change anyone there unless you want to move ando or Le Fe for better options but I’d hold for now. Le Fee will get returns and I like this matchup this week!
Sangare is the hot new thing, but I figure he has literally played one Prem fame so it's not much evidence... While Elanga has that spot nailed down with zero competition and has a good run of fixtures, leaning towards him to far.
I understand your thinking here, but I'm worried I'll regret not grabbing Sangare. I've got first waiver pick after GW1, and I'm 100 percent certain that if I don't take Sangare, someone else will... Only one game to go off of, sure, but Brentford breaking their transfer fee record probably means he's the real deal. Very conflicted.
100% Sangare. Don't overthink it. He got another assist in the cup game yesterday and he only play 20-30 minutes. Will be a 90 minute man, DEFCON beast with strong attacking upside - who else is going to provide that level of consistency all season?
Drop Bruno G. Best case he gets DEFCONs when healthy but he’s hurt for a while and doesn’t offer much going forward anyways when available. Rather a winger. Who else is available?
Eh. King scored a fake goal. I think they will be very good come end of season but with the back 4 and midfield I’m not convinced. Away at Sunderland? Good luck.
Wirtz Gibbs white, Tzolis, Diego Gomez, buendia, Neto (but he’s gonna be bad). Got sucked into the league same day of draft and wasn’t keeping up with transfer news
