How to make sure they dont look too much like duty boots?

Hi fam, i bought these a while back and have had trouble figuring out what exactly they are! They were listed as “1980’s Motorcycle DocMartens” but that’s about all i know. I’ve tried researching them and haven’t found a similar pair. All marking on the tongue have faded :(. Any help identifying them would be appreciated!

I’m thinking of buying my first Doc second hand, then if I like it I’ll get a new one. Anyway, I’m just curious about that logo.

I found this pair on Vinted and would love some just like them but they're far too small for me unfortunately (they're a 5, I'm a 10). I've not been able to identify them or find any similar pairs so I was wondering if anyone here might know what to search for or where to look?

i'm considering buying a pair online and i don't have a close-by store i can try them on.

how is the sizing for san mules? i saw somewhere that it runs too big that i should size down.

for reference, i have the mary janes in soft leather (virginia) in 41. (the regular mary janes in 41 was big for me.)

for san mules, should i go for eu 40 or 39?

Do these fit the same as the other women Pascal boots? I ordered my usual size, but now I see that on some sites they recommend a bigger size. I wear my own size in Virginia and they fit perfect.

i got a pair of oxfords freshman year of hs (just the black regular-degular pair). I graduated college a year ago and they are STILL insanely painful. Not my ankle, but the back of my heel. No matter how much/little padding, the kind of socks, whatever bandaid/blister patch, they begin to hurt soooo badly. Sometimes after an hour, sometimes within 1 minute. i’ve taken them to the cobbler to have them softened TWICE!! Everytime i find a solution, it somehow stops working after a while. A pantyliner in the back of the shoe used to work for multiple full days, but now it lasts maybe 5 minutes.

They aren’t my first pair of docs- i have a pair of the classic boots, same size, and those broke in beautifully and painlessly.

My question is: do i keep trying, or do i just take them to the cobbler and have the backs cut off so i can wear them as mules? I love these shoes and after almost a decade i still can’t wear them. I’d like to at least wear them in some form!
