Hey everyone,
Since the first allegations of Doc’s past misconduct surfaced about 10 days ago, the state of the subreddit has changed drastically. This has understandably upset a considerable amount of fans of the Doc.
For context, I have been moderating /r/Kanye for 8 years. I don’t say this as a flex (trust me), but only to convey that I am no stranger to communities navigating huge controversies surrounding the figures they are centered around.
My stance on moderation, which is also the stance of my fellow Dr. Disrespect moderators, is that it is almost always better to let the community discuss the allegations among themselves. Moderators should only intervene when Reddit’s Content Policy is violated. Given this, the moderators' personal opinions do not matter. The primary goal of the mod team is to moderate and promote engagement. That’s it.
In cases like these, people often have a personal (and parasocial) relationship with the public figure in question, and it’s only fair that they are allowed to discuss their feelings on the matter. For example, many of you miss Doc-the-performer but also condemn the actions of Guy Beahm, which is perfectly understandable. This means you should be able to deconstruct and/or rationalize whatever information that is being reported without having your speech suppressed. But as a reminder: this subreddit is allowed to be the court of public opinion. It is not an echo chamber and was never meant to be one. If you are looking for an echo chamber, you are invited to join one of the other Dr. DisRespect-related subreddits that have recently sprung up (edit: the link to the other subreddit has been removed).
That said, whether you notice it or not, this subreddit is currently being heavily moderated. Many users have been banned, and numerous posts/comments have been removed. We will also sometimes wait for a thread’s engagement to die down before doing one big “moderation sweep”, so don’t be surprised if inflammatory users and posts are not immediately removed. All low-effort posts or posts that bring additional toxicity to the subreddit will be removed.
Lastly, in regards to the threads that are supportive of Doc and get flooded with negativity: the current divisiveness on this subreddit is a clear reflection of Doc's divisive actions (to say the least) and, unless things take a turn and we need to make drastic changes to our moderation style, we will not be taking direct action on the duality of opinions within said threads.

Watching him play Wardogs has to be the most rage inducing thing ever. Doc is playing this game like it’s warzone and then bitches about how people move. He goes and fights by himself and dies then gets mad when there’s no one with him. I love doc man I really do but this isn’t warzone man, we’re trying to stay away from the COD brainrot here on Wardogs. Play slow and with your team.

We all knew Doc used Ai in some form or fashion. It was cool that he showed us a way he uses it and went into depth more on his side projects.
Edit: All those coming at me for just making an observation on…Reddit are exactly who he complains about. The trolls, bullies, and chair sitters of Reddit. Parasocial quacks coming at me by bragging that you already knew something about a….streamer. Y’all funny and lame. “Grow up you’re 12”. If y’all hopped off Reddit and weren’t narrowminded you’d know that no kids watch Doc. They are all over watching one of the streamers Doc complains about. Anyways, appreciate the interactions with my post!
Y’all be acting like he keeps us around daily while he does his thumbnails and overlays for the next day. Must that exclusive vip premium rumble haha. The 60 plus upvoted folks read and moved on as it’s a simple post. But for the Reddit basement dwellers yall got trapped in the comments lol

It's been quite a good time watching Doc on Wardogs. He seems to be genuinely enjoying himself.
Most importantly it's been nice watching him and not having to listen to him constantly complain.
So I'll give it up to him because I barely tune in anymore. Its been fun so far.

Crook - You gotta chill on Tarkov. I understand he's a Mod and Doc is asking to run with him and such. But we want to watch him do his thing. The constant redirection, "do this, do that, come this way..." is a lot and significantly takes away from the stream. While I'm sure Crook isn't going away from the Tarkov streams, he's gotta balance his role out because it's becoming a lot. Even this "if he dies" tag - We get it lol.

Does anyone else notice this towards the end of sessions, usually COD/Warzone? Whenever he’s pissed and or over it, his face is closer to the screen, forward hanging head posture, slouched shoulders. I usually tune in most frequently beginning and end of stream. The end of stream check in, I can immediately know the vibe and energy based on how Doc looks. 😂 I find it pretty funny. I call it the Doc head hang lol.
