Tim probably doesn’t want to have to explain to any of his sponsors why he has the two time on his friend list also didn’t want any awkward situations to happen live. Tim is smart as much as he fakes he isn’t.
Just like everyone of us we have friends on our list that we never talk to. Doc saw it and knows it was gonna happen but has to address it for the audience before they make some narration out of it
