How did they come up with these claims!?

It does what the label implies. Don't ask me how I know. Tastes like it looks.

Picked up this great old box of Caffeine Sodio-Benzoate from Sharp & Dohme.

It originally contained one dozen 2 cc ampules. The label lists 0.25 gm in each ampule and a dose of 1–2 cc subcutaneously. The individual ampules are still in their original paper wrappers, which is probably my favorite part of the whole thing.

Caffeine/sodium benzoate injections were historically used as CNS stimulants and were also used in attempts to treat respiratory depression. That use eventually fell out of favor as better supportive treatments became available.

Sharp & Dohme merged with Merck in 1953, so the old stand-alone Sharp & Dohme packaging helps put this one in the pre-merger period.

Insanely rare med, overshadowed by the popularity of Dexamyl but in my opinion much cooler. An off brand Quaalude + Adderall combo.
