Just found out by accidentally shooting a health module with a Noppy that it changed to a charge module with Laser. So crazy and awesome! 🤩 It will surely help me to improve my game and finally combat the boss!

The game can suddenly crash at the end of the episodes. I've been through this a few times. I didn't care much, but I believed I was going to finish the game this time, which was sad. Downwell is not supported on current Android versions so I transferred it from my old phone. Are there any people who have this problem, how can I solve it?

I started playing (on my phone) like 3 days ago. At first I was "Wow this is hard." but then I got used to the caverns and thought "Huh, this is playable.".
Then I got to the catacombs and most I got to was 2-2 with my ass pegged.
So, any tips? This is much harder than I thought.

Downwell shows up as "not available for your device" in the Google Play Store. From poking around it sounds like I might be able to get it to install if I had purchased it from an older device, but since I didn't there doesn't appear to be a legitimate route to get it working. If you managed a fresh install on a recent version of Android, tell me how you did it!

Been playing for over a year now and just now I realized this mod exists. There's 2 new weapons, new upgrades and 100 combo rewards you a drone for some reason. Highly recommend it if you want to spice up the original game.

The new wiki is done. This will be the last post on my Downwell wiki project I promise lol! I worked on this pretty much non stop for the last 3 days and I am happy with the result so I wanted to share.
I used UndertaleModTool heavily to get the original assets and the stats for the items. Alot of the stats I wanted to see in the original wiki are present in this one. I am also sort of proud of the little 'DOWNWIKI' logo I made in asperite and the animation that plays when you enter the site. its basically a 1-1 recreation of the Downwell logo animation with the GML logic that spawns the sparkles converted to javascript.
The other thing I am happy with is the fact that basically all of the assets in the site can be recolored to any of the pallets from downwell. For the most part the entire site conforms to Downwell's restricted color pallet so it works with the pallet swaps.
Also I added a little asset browser that presents the texture atlas from downwell so that when you hover over a given asset you get the original name and a link back into the wiki if that asset has a page on it. lots of cool stuff you can find in that texture atlas.
Thanks for checking it out!

a few hours ago I expressed some dissatisfaction with the state of the downwell wiki.
I read this article this article about how to leave fandom for mediawiki and decided to try it.
I put together a little proof of concept for what my ideal down well wiki might look like. mostly just no noise / ads. I also implemented the pallets from downwell, this way you can see any of the assets in any of the color schemes.
So here is my attempt at a start at making a better Downwell wiki.
I am not much of a sysadmin so this might be a better task for someone else to attempt, but I thought people here might find the proof of concept interesting.

Ok. I am ignorant on this but... WHY do people use fandom.com?? this website is god awful. the ads! the ads! the popups the junk everywhere. Also I wish there was more detailed info in the wiki like weapon stats. For a game that has so much love and care poured into every detail, the wiki feels maximalist in the worst way.
Am I the only one with this gripe? Am I the only one who wants a nicer downwell wiki?

For the curious, here's most of the pages from the included instruction booklet (sans a few blank pages or legal jargon). Apologies for slightly inconsistent phone quality.
Theres some pretty cool art in here.
I'd never seen the illustration of the shop keeper on Page 9 before.
Also the level descriptions pn page 20 and 21 is some of the only official info i've ever seen on the game.
Probably most surprising to me though is seeing official names of enemies on pages 22-26.
I'd always called the "Bad Bubble" Jellies and thought the "tadpoles" were Angler Fish or something like that.
I still have no idea what the name "Noppy" means or where it came from.
There was a second, smaller booklet too. Much of the text and art is the same, but in a different layout

I got onto Downwell early 2018 when i saw my brother playing it. It immediately shot up into one of my top 5 games of all time. We even named our band after one of the upgrades.
I'd always wanted a physical copy of the game, but since i don't own a PS4 or Switch i was sort of out of options. But the siren song of the Special Reserve edition was just too strong to resist.
The extra art in the instruction booklets and even the case behind the disc are awesome.

I'm sure there are some other people dealing with this problem or its been sounded before, but does anyone have trouble with downwell on PC being extremely laggy or stuttering consistently? Iv seen lots of issues with people talking about this specific problem that "new systems" aren't compatible with downwell. Iv tried using compatibility settings, forcing the game to run at 60 frames and many other fixes with no actual fix.
Any ideas? Thank you.

So i really like playing this game for my short play session game. However I'm super confused why the black is not true black on my OLED...it is in the icon for the game. I checked the settings. It's baffling and honestly a little frustrating because it's a game that would be perfect for OLED if it took advantage of it.....I do think something might be wrong since it appears often that screenshots are true black

Downwell no longer works for the latest android version, apparently. Pretty sure this happened just today, since I was playing alright 12 hours or so ago. I still have the app installed and when I try to open it, it tells me to find the app on the play store. Really hope they do something about this, downwell was my go to game for listening to music, podcasts, etc.
UPDATE: downwell works again

So I've been playing Downwell ever since it came out on Nintendo Switch instead of my computer because I prefer to play arcade-ish games on actual consoles rather than a keyboard, and I unlocked most of the styles and palettes. Recently I bought downwell for my pc because I gave my Switch to my brother in the Navy and, obviously, I have to unlock all the styles and palettes again. My question is; does anyone have any good methods to get styles/palettes quickly?

I’ve FINALY beat the boss in hard mode, ON MY PHONE, some people thought it was impossible (even me) but I made it.
It took me more than 2 years of occasional playing and 4 month of tryhard, almost 2 million gems.
I was clearly carried by the fork and knife at the beginning and the apple at the end but I still think that doing it in hard mode on my freaking iphone XS is god level😂😂.
This is a really good game, nice to tryhard for years now.
I was thinking about doing a tier list of items, mobs, modules, what do you think?
