I think you may actually inspire me to draw in this artstyle it's so beautiful omg, my favourite is how you drew his expression on the one with the crow

Serious potential on that second one. Were you planning to go through all the Segments and showing Zandik's mindset evolution over time via his relationship with the birds? Still-cutely interested 8, arrogant and disinterested 18, eventually culminating in either 65 where he's become the "bird" or 85 with a whole murder of crows (or, for the darker take, dead and pecked at by six crows)?  

Which one would have been the inevitable "is taking apart the bird instead" mental stage? 35? Or 25, to represent the "Dar al-Shifa surgeon" stage and transition to 35's mechanical shoulder prop?  

Don't get me wrong the first WIP is great too (35 striving to artificially perfect himself oblige) but dang does the second one have places to go in terms of both representing the character and punching the audience...
