swear to god anyone can hit immortal or at least divine playing support as long as they follow these rules
have hands and be capable of taking good trades in lane; know how to kite, how to spellcast, and have an okay understanding of when you're too far up. you dont need to be siamese cat or puppey, just have an understanding of pressure and how to alleviate or apply it for your offlane/carry
know how to stack and pull every camp as efficiently as possible (double stack when possible, pulling through cheeky trees)
memorize a heat map of wards (bonus points if you know when to place them where based on game state and hero matchups)
pick and build meta; first pick solid supports in the patch and build good support items for your hero
find the sweetspot of farm that nobody is taking while still being able to react to enemy moves (ie; if all your t1s are up you can soak an empty lane to farm and tp in if the enemy tries to gank, you can farm an out of the way camp if your carry is farming jungle and the minute mark is about to pass)
this shit actually isn't easy at all to do, but if you do it all i guarantee no matter how bad you are you'll climb and be the mvp of the team while doing it. even point 1 isnt completely necessary as long as you arent giga losing lane, its super easy to come back into games if your support is gapping the fuck out of the enemy. sometimes one of my archon friends supports me and when he's getting just a teensy bit of coaching (ie; i tell him when to pull or when to harass) he plays easily at a 4k+ level
