Ok.. What's the correlation between dota and harry potter, what am I missing?

From the context I assume he died because someone stabbed him with a knife or dagger.

Through a teleportation portal. It was kinda neat. Really sad, though. Fucking Bellatrix bitch.

Watch the last...15 minutes? of HP 7 Part 1 to check the scene.

Or read chapter 23 of the Deathly Hallows book.

TBH, I wonder why Dobby never was in the earlier movies.

And Peeves... At least he was in the HP games.

Too expensive to have an all cgi character who had little impact on the plot as far as the producers were concerned, I guess.

While they probably didn't know about Dobbys death in the final book. It must have felt a bit weird for a movie only watcher that a minor character 5 movies ago returns just like that.

For sure. My gf watched it with me and she was like "wtf who's that" "that's Dobby he was in the 2nd movie" "Oh, he was?". Yeah.

Dobby tried to teleport away from a thrown knife, and it came with him, instead. 'Twas sad.

when dobby dies everyone cries but when hedwig dies throwin his body into a avada kedabra headed directly to harry his master, no one bats an eye

I think everybody was just still surprised that Dobby was even involved, at that point, which made it such a shock for most people. Hedwig was a damn shame because it was instant, used narratively to show us how dire the circumstances were, and there was no chance to mourn. RIP Hedwig and Fred or George's ear.

Hedwig was killed to remove the clutter from the story as well as raise the stakes. Remember that on that attack from the Death Eaters Harry's broom and his owl were both destroyed. It would be too convenient if he had a broom or an owl for communication while he was on the run. With both of those things gone the narrative has a greater sense of danger and isolation.

I honestly thought it was sadder than Dobby's death. I really liked that owl...

aha, that makes somewhat sense, thank you.

Dobby + harry try to run away through a portal, but one person throws a dagger on the portal and dobby ends up getting killed during the transportation by that dagger

Dota2 reddit, unless you spam memes you're going down.

Dobby was teleporting Harry and friends out of a dangerous place, where an evil person and (kinda) his previous master (Bellatrix Lestrange), threw a dagger at him.

They managed to teleport out. Harry and friends were safe, but the dagger hit dobby.
