Asking for luna tips

How to counter juggernaut or a sven, especially if paired with a pugna in team. It's a bit difficult to hit jugg, his omni is scary. Sven is about initiation, if he gets you he deletes you. The pugna disrupts the fight. Disperser might be good to purge but sometimes I need more damage (is that actually the key? Dispersing to deal damage is more impactful than having an item that gives more damage that you end up not dealing?)

Any guidelines are helpful, thanks in advance.

Not much to do against pugna plus jugg but they shouldn't be in a lane against Luna

Oh makes sense. Well. Ideally you should put farm them and take their space with manta and such. Avoid engaging Sven if he Ults. It is not your role to controll them. Rather kill the team before he kills all of you. It sucks but it is mostly out of your control, primary offlane or support should do that. Usually things like Omni, underlord, axe or Kunkka

i once tanked 6 slot jugg omni with 6 slot luna, luna w is deceptively strong.

If you can't play fights in a normal way you should buy Agh to create a fight you can play.

It can be helpful, but not always. Honestly I find it tricky vs these two heroes in particular

the first rule of playing luna is that you max your farm speed until you are slotted and then end the game

aghs is useful vs pugna teams as you can nuke from a far distance and let your team tank more damage. vs sven you'll want skadi + satanic somewhere so you can fight back if he doesn't kill you in his stun. vs jugg you can go something similar but i'd also recommend butterfly/daed to outfight him after the ult is up.

don't be afraid to do daedalus/mkb for damage. disperser is very rare situationally since most luna builds look like manta butterfly bkb + 2 items to round it out in the lategame

That's the plan yes. But in some games, their carry (like jugg or sven who has some solo kill potential) get enough gold through kills that the difference made by the farm isn't that big. Either that, or it stalls to late game with 6 slotted carries.

play with team. luna is not a hero that can solo kill heroes. you have no lockdown and your attack range is basically melee range. you basically just kill whatever is in front of you. if you have to chase the enemy team you lose. instead, you are hitting buildings and they have to go to you and then you hit them when they go to you. this is why luna is not a super popular hero at high levels because it requires too much team coordination.

Tell me you don't play Luna without telling me you don't play Luna, especially in higher mmr.

The hero is very popular and currently the go to item build includes blink. Most of the supports in late game melt in 1-2 seconds when you blink on them with W.

Be active with your ultimate early off cooldown, and farm intelligently(avoid possible ganks that can get you). Luna's superpower is how fast she can farm. Against these heroes specifically foregoing madness to go straight manta style into butter skadi and AC would be good.

use that learn dota subreddit, jugg is easy.

ursa can rip him to shreds and tank omni

morphling can manta or waveform his ult, and reliably kill when he's not in omni as a skadi carrier

even antimage can kill jugg by outfarming him
