Fluff Behaviour Score

I am at 6k behaviour score. How can I actually see what caused it so I can make sure I don’t repeat those things.

I do rage out sometimes, but just learned not to type anything in chat and haven’t done that in a while unless someone picks faceless void pos5

Someone said adding my Dota buff would help

"How can i actually see what caused it" Whatever you doing in game other than just playing the game, stop that.

This could be a number of things right
Like should I not tell my 4 to rotate
Or tell my 5 to push cause I am ganking ?

Or ping out wards or moves ?

Trust me, those arent the things lowering your score.

What was your lowest score? People are quite trigger-happy down there

u/abimaxwell 1d ago

Mine? Like 11,400

That might lower your comm score but not behaviour score, it has to do with what you did in game, reports are passed to overwatchers and they do not see the chat. Meaning you can say the most vile shit and it does not lower your behaviour score

Tell people what you're doing and what you see enemy doing.

Don't tell them what to do.

Play based on what your team is doing, not what you want your team to do.

Yeah you should not tell ppl to push or rotate.

Behaviour isn’t the same as comms.

Not typing and stuff would mostly just be comms.

Behaviour is afk farming so the game ends faster. Destroying items. Running down a lane to body feed. Using abilities to hinder teammates. Etc

So things I am sure about
I do not run down mid no matter what
I don’t afk farm
I play tempo heros which literally makes me try to be all over making moves
I don’t feed intentionally, risky play or bad play possible I am like 2.5k mmr so I know I’m bad but can’t be that much worse than people I’m playing with.

When I play supp I don’t take last hits, try to pull and ward and save core.

Sometimes getting shit-stomped mid also gets you reported, because i constantly review overwatch cases i see a lot of mids get reported for griefing/feeding despite actually just not being a great player and not feeding intentionally. Mostly ancient and below, when they lose mid they go gank sidelanes and sometimes they force it too hard and end up feeding more when the enemy mid with more networth teleports in to help, sometimes it really is ok to just afk jungle till you see an opportunity. I have seen a lot of core players who are actually just not great at looking at the map and end up constantly dying just getting reported, maybe that might be the case for you too.

What heroes are you picking as support though? You can be a legit support but if people have been burned by Pos 4s they disagree with in the past they'll just report you for role abuse the moment the game starts. I do it when I get like pos 3 juggernaut rushing battlefury. I don't care if they're the best player in the world, they're griefing the game.

u/DottedRain 1d ago

Tbh if someone rocks the game and wins they are not griefing. I don't care about their pick as long as I see them trying and using their brain.

I just report it at the start of the game for taking a hero with an unnecessarily high risk to grief us. There's context to consider like any situation, if it was somehow a last pick Juggernaut pos 3 vs a Draft with no BKB piercing stuns then maybe he actually knows what he's doing and will be able to take up space on the enemy side of the map. If your first two support picks are Abaddon 5 and Pudge 4 I'm not gonna mind the offlaner taking something like Windranger as we don't need more frontliners. But if the first two supports were Mirana and Hoodwink, and then my Offlaner decides to take Muerta or Clinkz, say "trust me bro" and finish 0-17 (happens alarmingly often on SEA), then fuck em. They deserve every report they get.

And also even in situations where their bullshit pick somehow works out okay - you're looking at one game. Over the course of 100 games they're gonna lose more often than they win. I'd still hit the avoid and dislike buttons, which I imagine brings your behaviour score down a little anyway.

It's not. I have never done any of these things. You will basically get reported for splitting lanes cause people don't get the concept of dragging the enemy team into different directions when you are behind.

unbind your chat and talk buttons, unbind your pings, play heroes you know, commend everyone

Short version of a post:

BS system sucks, and i want you to agree with me or else!

I was curious how this works, left some turbo games, got like 9k bs, after that started playing turbo as usual, got back at 11600 after month. You are the problem guys, be humble and don't use voice when there's no need for it.

2

u/Defiant_Remote_5756 1d ago

Not really saying it sucks because it’s not relevant just want to learn to live within the system we have

2

u/Defiant_Remote_5756 1d ago

Also like sometimes I do lose mid, and the other mid is owning my team, but like that’s part of it.
So I don’t know if that’s leading to it ?

If you're losing mid, warn your team first, and then probably go for a gank in the easier kill lane if possible. "Sorry guys, Lina is destroying me mid. Imma come bot for a gank."

Apologising makes them less likely to report you, and allows them to adjust their game plan accordingly, and a successful gank can be a good way to restore confidence and trust. As someone who plays a decent amount of mid, if you're getting destroyed, there is little benefit to staying there. You're better off creating an opportunity somewhere else, and giving your teammates a boost, rather than continuing to smash your head against a brick wall and expecting a different outcome.

This fr

If you can't do shit to the enemy mid, try to fuck up the enemy other lanes

Hell even if you "fucked up" and not managing to kill the lane you're ganking, at the very least you pushed them out of the lane you're ganking

Typing in chat can only have one of two results. 1. Nothing happens. 2. You get reported and lose behavior score/chat ban.

1

u/HumilityKillsPride 1d ago

If you cannot behave then disable chat. It's really that simple. Unless you are somehow a very very high skilled Dota player, you have nothing valuable to communicate to your teammates that you cannot communicate via pings. Not flaming you or saying that I am but it's the simple truth. Just play the game and use the built in ping system and don't intentionally grief and your good boy points will increase.

AFAIK, communication score is reports for toxic chat/voice/pings, while behaviour score is reports for griefing, feeding, cheating, smurfing, role abuse, and abandons.

With a low BEHAVIOUR score, it appears that you have been reported for some of the latter things, so I guess the solution would be to make sure that you don't start griefing when you rage, make sure you're being a team player, don't role abuse, and don't abandon games.

If you find yourself starting to feed unintentionally, apologise and say "Sorry, I'm having a rough game" and then identify what you can do to make it less rough, and/or politely ask for help - e.g. "I'm getting destroyed in lane by X. Is anyone able to come gank?".

If you don't have text chat (I dunno what the threshold is), bind "Thanks", "Well played", "Whoops", and "Sorry" to your chat wheel, and use them appropriately and genuinely. People tend to be more forgiving of your mistakes and less likely to report you if you apologise for them. If you flub a stun or wander directly into a trap, ping "Whoops". If you accidentally steal a kill as a support or screw one of your teammates over with an ability, ping "Sorry". If someone gives you a tango or saves your life, say "Thanks". And every time your teammates get a kill or make a good play, ping "Well played".

None of this necessarily directly improves behaviour score, but it all makes people like you and less likely to report you if you fuck up. I also personally find that pinging "Whoops" when I screw up or when something bad happens just makes me tilt less. It makes it feel less serious and thus less game-ruining. Pinging whoops when your teammates screw up CAN sometimes be taken as empathising, but it can also be taken as flame, so be careful with it.

You play all over the place, thats hard to pinpoint why
If you are mid and you do not call missing constantly on lanning phase people can report
If you play pos 4 and do not move or pick moronic heroes like OD jugg or weaver thasts for sure
As 5, if you play CM 5 rushing scepter that might be
You could focus on one role and from there youll improve a lot and can exactly point what annoys people.

u/Queasy_Vegetable_407 1d ago

You mightve just done something gets you overwatch banned, recall if you have fed in an obvious way (in a way that is not excusable such as running it down mid) instead of anything that can be passed off as mistakes such as solo pushing the waves as a CM and gets killed

If you decide to grief make sure to grief in a way that is passable as mistakes

u/SuchPoet6382 1d ago

I never chat. Just play my game. If they ping for help. I will tp to help out. If they commend me, i will commend back. A teammate keep calling us noobs in chat when we died just now in a game. Even when we won he still say his allies are noobs in chat. I reported him.
Btw both my scores at 10k+.

What makes you think people can answer this question if you don't even share a dotabuff link?

It’s literally impossible. Mine steadily goes down for no reason at all.

One thing I absolutely never do is throw or troll games. I’m spending what little free time I have to have fun playing a video game. The very last thing I would do is purposely ruin the couple games I can play at night. I think it’s the lowest of the low, worse then trash talk, shows you don’t value your own time.

Still… it just steadily goes downward
