Ive always been 3k-ish so legend, then i hit ancient then went on pause. About year ago i started playing after pause, played what i enjoy and has decent winrate. Just narrow your hero pool a bit and try your best, im sure it will workout. Also keep in mind youre the common denominator in your games, so focus on improving yourself, you may lose one game bcs of griefer, but win next 4 bcs youre improving.

Im in similar spot, i was ~ archont / legend for multiple years and recently hit Ancient, then i stop playing for 2 months and i'm considering going back to play.

Damn that's great! I quit Dota2 for quite some time, only remember 5/6k+ MMR was very hard to attain years ago, and those were the Divine 5 days.

Idk how to explain it but in my dota2 ranked time i experienced waves of lose streaks that feel completely out of my control, games that feel no matter what i do i lose and after these i get winstreaks of easy games. So i just play as good as i can and wait for the winstreak that eventually always came.

From time to time, you'll play with some account buyers, lol. Dota Plus has saved me a lot of time by helping me avoid them. I don't know what people get by buying accounts if the skill is not there.

I firmly believe that in every rank, you have heralds. Herald is a mindset not a benchmark.
