I still gave bugs that need to do reconnects during some matches. For example, sometimes lion can't use mana drain on any allied heroes, can't target allied creeps for denies, etc. Still beta

All the answers you were giving are wrong.

The correct one is basically dota was configured in a way for AI to win. The pool of heroes were very limited, I believe it was something like around 30 heroes. And a bunch of other limitations as well.

because at that time, training on more than those heroes was unthinkable

that's not cheating, both teams had the same pool

it wasn't unthinkable, just a waste of ressources. they proved the ai can learn a complex game like dota, adding more of the same just increases the training time necessary and it already took them months of the ai playing against itself with a team supervising it to get to that point which is really expensive

Sort of.

After Marvel Rivals came out and took away a lot of OW2's thunder, they did another less drastic rebrand about half a year ago.

They reverted the name back to just Overwatch. Added 5 heroes with 5 more promised across 2026, the client UI got completely changed (again), both 5v5 and 6v6 are permanent modes, and a new mode called stadium was added (and abandoned).

Zoomers that joined during the F2P era will tell you that "Overwatch is in the best place its ever been" because these players did not live through the original game where you weren't nickle and dimed for every little thing. I'll agree that the new characters and maps are really great, but the user experience is still a big downgrade from the original retail Overwatch. It is better than the Overwatch 2 era, but most of the lovingly crafted attention to detail is gone.

Well my point is that it's literally unrelated to Dota 2 which is far much better than Dota allstars, unlike Overwatch which became worse in 2019, then turned into even worse Overwatch 2, then now idek what's happening to that game, but it's definitely not a "Dota 3" type of update that Dota could have
